"The location was excellent as it was close to ferry access to Mt Sakurajima, the Tenmonkan shopping district as well as the Kagoshima Station. Think the hotel is relatively new and more oriented towards business. But still overall good service from reception. Got adjacent rooms for my family of 3, but the rooms are a little uncomfortable for 2 pax, but perfect for a single. Check in and check out service was easy. "This hotel was convenient to the train station and fine for a short stay. The rooms have not been updated recently and the furniture and carpets show their age. The bathroom is tiny and two persons will have to take turns using it. However, the rooms are very clean, as is the lobby and reception area. "The building and the room are clean and fine, but the location was far enough from the airport that you would absolutely need a taxi to get to the airport. However, you’re supposed to make a taxi RSVP at least 48 hours before the date you need it. Local taxis are usually fully booked by early RSVPs, and wont be able to come pick you up like you would expect.
