We dived Looe Key reef every day through their dive shop. Safe shallow diving with excellent storage, easy access and excellent staff. Left the afternoon/evening open to relax or go into town. About 50 minutes from Key West. Easy access right off U.S. 1\. They have a large tiki bar with a food truck on site. Someone else’s food in the mini fridge when we checked in. We mentioned it and the manager said “you could have thrown it away” Sink does not work. We were unable to use it during our entire stay. They said they would send someone to fix it and never did. Holes in the wall. Our door doesn’t have a deadbolt, but a weird half hole where it should be. Looks like it was ripped out and replaced with a flimsy sliding lock. They told us they couldn’t give us extra pillows or blankets, so each of us only got one pillow, which will be fine for some people, but rough for this family. But the beds were clean and the room smelled strongly of bleach or some kind of cleaning chemical when we first arrived, so I wouldn’t say it was dirty. Other than the leftover food. The staff at the front desk was kind, the manager was super rude though. The snorkeling was a blast and the boat crew were very friendly and helpful. The view of the canal from the back balcony is pretty.
