Karen’s Kottage - Lake John Cutie on the Bay! NEW - now with Wi-Fi!!!
10/10 Excellent
"Nice quaint place to stay. Karen was a wonderful host, and was willing to assist us with a special request. I would tell anyone staying at this property to stay a couple days. Very unique area. We were even luck to catch a fireworks show set off by the neighbors! "
"We stayed five nights at Waters edge retreat with our daughter and her husband and their two children ages six and two. The accommodations were perfect! The cottage was recently updated and spotless! It had ample room for our group, including laundry. It was well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans, spices, extra paper, towel, etc. Dishes and pots and pans were all in beautiful condition! There is no zero entry into the lake, but it is very shallow near shore and we had no problem swimming there with the six-year-old. The two-year-old wasn’t interested lol. There is also a large sandy beach and public park just a couple minutes away if you have real young children. The responsiveness of management was excellent and we even met the very kind owner. We highly recommend!"

"Our family enjoyed all the amenities, from the kayaking to swimming to fire pit to spacious accommodations. Being on a quiet lake with great views topped it off. The water in the lake was really high, but with a floating dock that has a nice ladder made it easy for even the young kids to get in and out of the water. "
Beachfront Cabin with Lake Views & Harry Potter Room
10/10 Excellent
"My family had a great time at this cabin and would for sure come back! We had 4 kids with the age ranges from 7 to 2 and the cabin was SO kid friendly. They thought of everything, there was a highchair, pack n' play, extra mattresses under the beds for more sleeping room. The water off the beach was clean and very minimal weeds. They had paddle boards, kayaks etc. that entertained my kids for hours. There was a family of geese who liked to wander so we did have to clean up some goose poop, but the cabin had tools to clean it up, so it was no big deal. Plus, the baby geese were so cute! So many great memories made at this place!"
