In the central part of Vinohrady near Vinohradská street, there lies "náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad" (George of Poděbrady Square) with a modern "Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord" by Jože Plečnik built in 1932\. There are several parks in Vinohrady. Havlíčkovy sady (literally Havlíček's Orchards) is the Prague's second-largest park. There is Villa Gröbe that served as summer house of the nobility, it is inspired by Italian Renaissance suburban villas and is surrounded by vineyards still in production founded by Charles IV in the second half of the 14th century. Vineyards and Vineyard summerhouse were at the end of the 20th century started to deteriorate, but were renewed and now has an area of 1.7 hectares and annually produces 4,000 liters of wine. There are grown varieties of Müller Thurgau, Rhine Riesling, Dornfelder, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, and since 1997 there annually happen "Vinohrady vintage celebrations" (usually in September). Folimanka Park is situated at the Vinohrady side of Nusle Valley under large Nusle Bridge. Smaller parks are situated in central Vinohrady: sady Svatopluka Čecha (Svatopluk Čech's Orchards) near Vinohradská street, Bezručovy sady (Petr Bezruč's Orchards) between Slezská and Francouzská street) and parks at all main Vinohrady squares. Underground/Metro, Bus and Tram Station in IP Pavlova is 100 meters far from the apartment. Direct access to everywhere in the center of Prague in a few minutes. For example Trams Number 22 and 23 towards the Old Town, the National Theatre, the funicular, Petrin Hill, Charles Bridge, Mala Strana, Kampa isle and the Castle area arrive 24/7 every 3/4/5 minutes. The National Museum in Wenceslas Square is about 350 meters far from the flat. Plein de renseignements donnés sur un plan pratique. La location est très bien située, avec de nombreux moyens de transports à 5 mn à pieds, et en 15 mn vous êtes sur tous les sites remarquables du centre ville. Un seul point à améliorer dans la location le lit double, trop bas pour des personnes âgées ou à mobilité réduite comme moi, et matelas bien trop mou. Les autres lits sont corrects. ##### Chantal T. Maury was incredibly patient waiting for our late arrival - \*NOTE\* - ask him for advise on transportation from the airport and I would avoid cars that have a 'TAXI' attachment on their roof! Actually ask Maury about everything. He was very helpful about the public transportation (so close and so easy to use with the PID app), nearby markets for groceries, and other shopping locations. Lots of restaurants and sites within walking distance too. Appreciated how close it was to everything but on a quiet side street and felt generally very safe. Having an elevator was also much appreciated.The apartment is spotlessly clean and the enclosed balcony gives really nice natural light. Everything works perfectly and Maury gives excellent instructions to make it easy. It was nice to be staying with real Czechs and not in the tourist bubble. The transit system is free to people over 65 and easy to use. Maury gives full and accurate info about the apartment and Prague in the Vrbo posting and his letter but he does not reprint that info in the flat and he resents if you haven’t read it as I hadn’t! There is a pleasant balcony looking on to the gardens in the middle of the block. The apartment is quiet, comfortable and easy to use. ##### Sarah F. The flat was great for the family, the extra room was perfect for him, and the location of the flat gave us quick access to old town and public transportation, and yet kept us away from the swarm of people.
