Would not stay there again
The manger comes to the door in just shorts. I ask if I can check in early, his reply is yes for $30, I can park for $10. The room was ok, the pillows smelled like body order. I would not stay there again.

Great place. Location was very convenient, close walk to restaurants and bars
Overall great experience, clean, nice front porch to sit on and enjoy your coffee. The beach is just a short 50 yard walk across the street.

Super Easy Stay
As described, our unit was right across the road from the 2 min. walk to the beach. Owners were a tremendous help, especially with parking. They were available for us and were lovely, friendly, and gracious. We loved the beautiful pool and the beach, and just wished we'd had time to enjoy the sweet trellised garden with fire-pit. Belkis Beach Motel is far enough away from the pier and Palace Playland crowds to have room on the sandy beach, and only a short walk to a convenience store and public parking in case you invite day guests. If you have a truck, leave it at home---parking is very tight! Our unit was comfy cozy, decorated tastefully, and just right. Thank you Belkis and Alan!

Just OK room smaller than photo, but great location
Owners were kind and helpful but there are lots of issues with the rooms. Our TV did not work and needed attention from the owner - a pain. The rooms are MUCH smaller than appear in the photo, have a tiny desk/table so hard to eat in, but the kitchen is well stocked. NO hair dryer - odd. A train howls by with horn 5:30 every day but that's all of Old Orchard Beach. WAY overpriced for what you get IMHO

Clean Beach Stay
The listing is a motel in every sense. The room is clean and beachy as pictured. We were the room closest to the street and could hear quite a bit of traffic. AC and wifi worked well. Check in process was smooth and staff was accommodating. Biggest issue was parking - it was a very small lot with tiny spaces. It was difficult to get in and out even in our small car.

Motel Room on VRBO
I always like to stay at places listed on VRBO. This “place” looked great. The price seemed high, but it was a last minute reservations, so I reserved it. I was expecting to receive a key code to get in, but received a message that the owner hadn’t supplied one yet. I was a bit suspicious at this point, so I called the number provided. The gentleman who answered was the owner. At that point I was assured that my reservation was legitimate, but found out it was just a hotel room with a very steep price attached. If I canceled my reservation there would be no refund. When I arrived I was told that I was too early as check-in wasn’t until 3:00 pm. I received a text at 1:15 that my room was ready, after I had just paid $15 to park at the beach in Scarborough and to access a changing room/restroom. Ok…now I am up to almost $300 for a one night’s stay and I haven’t even seen my room! Upon check-in at 3:30ish, I was given a parking pass and the room key. Room #1 at the hotel sits literally on E. Grand Ave. The room was newly updated as the pictures depicted, but it was a motel room, not what I would call a VRBO property at all. When I settled in I took a shower. Yikes! No hot water!!! The next morning I had to tutor a student via ZOOM and the internet stopped responding. On a positive note…check-out was easy and she let me leave my car parked on the property until 1:00 pm. I told her about the lack of hot water. She also let me go back into the room to change, after returning from the beach as my room hadn’t been cleaned yet! A pretty expensive 1 night stay to say the least. In the future I would suggest that motel owners make it clear on VRBO that it is just that.Why wasn’t it listed as the Belkis Motel??? So disappointed as I have absolutely loved previous accommodations through VRBO. Thank you. Rebecca Tobey

Just a stop along the way. Over priced for what it was. Beds from the 80s? It's like they took a 1980s beach hotel and added some pintrest thinking it'd hide the other issues.
