There are not enough words for how much we enjoyed our stay. Every minute of our time at the resort was beyond expectations - from the unforgettable room and view, the highest quality customer service from every staff member we encountered, to the phenomenal food… especially at Itzam. We will always compare future “relaxing” vacations to this one and we have genuine plans to return one day - which is not a common thing we do since we enjoy staying in different places. We are telling all our family and friends to make an effort to visit!

Underwhelming
I was completely underwhelmed with the hotel overall. The room was perfection, no complaints. The design of the hotel was beautiful - the property, decor, etc. However, the beach was terrible. It was tiny, the water was not crystal clear, not sure what it was as there was not a ton of seaweed visible. The sand was mostly hard, not the powder soft white beaches which are everywhere else in the area. I have stayed at every hotel in mayakoba, and I was very excited to try something new, but it was just a disappointment at this price point. The property is small and there are very few options for food. I am always a beach person, never hang out by the pool, but the food and beverage options (and prices, so weird!) were better at the pool. I ordered a $25 pina colada by the beach that was horrible... bad enough that I genuinely think it was an accident. I did not want to complain, so I just moved on and did not finish it. Service was ok, nothing special like at the rosewood or even fairmont hotels. Stunning design, but lacking in a lot of areas. It's new, so I hope they can improve.

Everything we had hoped for all around! Above all, every single person we met who work at Etereo are beyond kind and thoughtful and went above and beyond to make us feel so genuinely taken care of. We left feeling like we made new friends that we would love to see again. The restaurants, pools, our room and especially SANA (spa) were simply perfect and we experienced beautiful and spiritual experiences while there that we will never forget.

El único tema es que reserve una habitación Ocean Studio con Sky deck y punge pool y me dieron una que solo era Ocean Studio with Plunge Pool. No entiendo la razón de ello ni se me hace correcto que no den lo que uno reservo y pago, aparte de ello el hotel es espectacular y un gran servicio. Lastrima que no honraron ni bonificaron el cuarto que no me pudieron dar

The property was incredible great staff, great location brand new, almost perfect, the butler, Alvaro was the best I’ve had at any resort. the food was incredible the primary downside was the lack of dining options , it was the same dinner menu every night. They did offer the option of customized dinners which we took advantage for Mexican taco dinner that was fabulous. First day we noted many sand fleas. They were everywhere. They provided eco-friendly bug spray was not effective against them . Less prevalent in the days that followed yet they were there and all of us ended up with multiple bites. Recommend taking your own Deepwoods off or something to protect yourself against these fleas. The beach lounging options were incredible. Each weight service was good but could’ve been much more attentive. Overall probably the best resort we have stayed at in the Cancun/Playa area.
