"Beautifully manicured grounds on arrival. Easy parking outside our cottage. Good sized bathroom with plenty of hot water and nice toiletries. Well appointed kitchenette and we had to ask for just a couple of essential items. Nice balcony surrounded by trees. "It took a while to decide on where to stay on my first visit to Antigua, but I am so glad my search landed me at Copper & Lumber. The hotel is truly one of the most unique stays I’ve had. The grounds are beautiful, the room (studio) was super spacious, and had everything we needed. The AC worked, though it didn’t extend into the bathroom, which admittedly is small and not for anyone claustrophobic. Otherwise, I felt like I was in a movie staying there, such nice details and everything is picture-worthy. The staff were amazing! They gave us lots of recommendations of places to visit and eat at. Within an hour of arrival, I had mangoes delivered to the room, followed by a whole bag the next morning. That was the best! They were always up for conversation, which I appreciated. The location of the hotel is ideal also, there are lots of restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Shirley’s heights is about a 15-min taxi ride away and is a must-do experience for the weekly parties/bbq. Pigeon’s beach is about a 20-minute walk away. The minibus also runs on the Main Street to take you into St. John’s. Would definitely stay at this hotel again! Still daydreaming about it…."

"We had a lovely time at the Birds and Bees Cottage. The property is such a gem, located in one of the most beautiful spots on the island, and Janie is such a gracious host The view was amazing from the gazebo and there was so much to explore on the property, including a fish pond, various kinds of trees and plants and lots of interesting birds. The cottage is beautifully designed with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the two black lab pups that came to see us periodically. The light breeze from the ocean was so refreshing as well. The hiking in the area was fantastic and I felt completely safe venturing out on my own. My favourite was a hike along cliffs between Shirley's Heights and Galleon Beach. The hiking trail starts at the far end of Galleon Beach. Middle Ground hiking trail between Pigeon Beach and Berkeley Fort was beautiful as well, with striking views of the ocean below. Such a beautiful island. There is a small beach at the end of Galleon Beach where you can see sea turtles and was a lovely spot to swim as well."

"The host Jonelle was lovely and very accommodating. Aloe cottage was in a beautiful spot and the roof top patio made morning coffees exceptional. Being fully immersed in the jungle there are critters around and some roaches decided to try and crash our vacation but they were quickly eradicated. We will miss Aloe and hope to return one day."

"WOW!! We stayed four nights over the Christmas holiday with two families (4 adults, 4 kids total). We all had such a great stay at the Carib House. We wished we would have stayed longer. The pool was really fun and the house had more space than we could use. There are so many beaches and wonderful things to do in the area, and Lou went WAYYYYY above and beyond to make recommendations. She also helped with obtaining provisions so we didn't have to grocery shop when we arrived which was such a lifesaver. Would recommend to anyone staying in Antigua!!"
