The biggest downside for me is the cleanliness of the sofa and carpets in the room, which is unacceptable (cigarette burns, numerous stains…). Breakfast is average and the dining area noisy. Quite far from the city center, it can be difficult to find a taxi when there’s heavy traffic. In conclusion, it remains an average hotel.” »

« Great place with nice rooms and beautiful view (both to Mt Kinabalu and Kota Kinabalu). Standard Malaysian breakfast and decent lunch and dinner menu. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room (104) was very good although there are a few ants around (so make sure not to leave food around). Bed, shower and toilet were nice and clean. Internet worked quite well (not guaranteed in this area). Our best place in Sabah so far (out of 6 good hotels). »

« Need to improve on the cleanliness of the kitchen. Inspect the kitchen utensils, the water filter is leaking, the dish soup is non-existent, the drying rack left in the kitchen cupboard to house insects, the living room sofa leather was teared apart. The amenities advertised includes water bottles, but when asked for it from the staff on site, it’s not provided as complimentary. The bedroom door cannot be locked for some room, there’s stain on every bed and bedsheets. Overall the 3 bedroom...

« hotel bien situé pour embarqué vers les îles en face de la ville Acces direct au centre commercial par le 1er étage est très pratique le service de chambre est long à la détente, on doit les relancer à mainte reprises, et le restaurant de l'hôtel n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur, la qualité et la fraîcheur des produits est mauvaise pour le prix dépensé, mieux vaut manger dans le mall Malgré tout je recommande cet hôtel pour son bon rapport qualité / prix mais déconseillé d'y manger au restaurant »

"The property is beautiful surrounded by a lush forest which brings around wildlife (including some monkeys that can be a bit invasive). The tram at Bunga Raya was really a pleasure, with smiles and warm hospitality. We do have to warn of the sand flies, which left my husband with over 60 bites on his back even after applying repellent (I on the other hand was never bothered much, as with other guests it was a hit or miss). Dinners were all to be served when we first arrived, but by the third day speed of service increased greatly. We enjoyed the snorkeling day trip offered with a supplemental charge- it was probably one of the highlights from our stay at the resort. The spa is truly a hidden gem, my husband and I went twice because we enjoyed our services so much - with a special shoutout to Tina and her colleagues for such warmth and hospitality! I would definitely recommend Bunga Raya for its location, the laid back atmosphere, the beautiful grounds, great food and its kind staff. Just beware of the sand flies if you’re a beach person (and if insects or mosquitos tend to bite you) !"

"Here is the English translation: “High-end hotel but could be better. The rooms are spacious and the bedding is of good quality. The biggest downside for me is the cleanliness of the sofa and carpets in the room, which is unacceptable (cigarette burns, numerous stains…). Breakfast is average and the dining area noisy. Quite far from the city center, it can be difficult to find a taxi when there’s heavy traffic. In conclusion, it remains an average hotel.”"
