I love that it is a smaller place, so much charm and very welcoming for solo traveller like me. Exceptional staff and property has beautiful grounds and fabulous view of Porto. "If you’re coming to Porto, this is definitely the place to stay! The location right by the river is absolutely beautiful. The place itself was much bigger than we anticipated, was clean and well stocked. The communication with our host was faultless. They sent detailed check in instructions including a video of where the property was. They were very accommodating and friendly. We would recommend to anyone 10/10"

"Room was super clean and they provided all needed toiletries for shower. I didn't hear other people from other rooms but it is "isolating" in the room. No windows and it's a small space. No way around that. They do a really good job with lighting and the temperature control. There's no fan in the bathroom so be aware if you are sharing with someone. They do NOT officially allow bikes (bicycles) in the rooms. I was traveling for a ride across Portugal and found that out. Just FYI for those bike packers out there. Unless you want to have your bike in the lobby (not really a good place to lock it to) there's no where to secure the bike. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Great coffee, fresh juices, hot food, pastries, fresh fruit and cold meats and yogurts. Really, really good for 10 EURO if you pay the night prior for the breakfast."

Staff were very helpful - one team member conjured up tickets for a Champions League game, another sorted out a doctor to visit for my onset of back pain. "So first impression on the room wasn’t to favorable. Had medication that needed to be refrigerated, could Not get the fridge open. Tried to call front desk, phone didn’t work. So we went back downstairs (after a very long delayed flight, we weren’t really in the mood ). So the front desk said nothing they could do but if it made us a feel better they had complaint’s before. Then the bartender Lily, came up and said let’s get this resolved. She went upstairs with us and pulled the fridge right out of its cabinet, which actually helped and it worked. We just had to live around it being in the middle of the floor. There was zero space for clothes, no dresser, undersized side tables. The shower had mold In the grout and edges. But the beds were clean and comfortable and we made do. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast, same things everyday. The restaurant on the other hand was not good at all. Ordered two burgers that came raw. No one came back to check so we tried to eat them. Didn’t work. When person did come we were told that’s the way they are served. So we still were charged for $30 for something inedible. The pool was great, the fact you couldn’t use towels for the beach was a bummer. But the area is perfect and just a few hiccups. Like I said we managed. I would return but with a scrub brush for the tub walls."
