And with an empty lot next to us for even more privacy! We recently purchased the home in 2021 and have made many upgrades and renovations including new windows and doors in June 2023\. \*\*\*For how to get to Cat Island...please scroll to the end!\*\*\* The Space: The home features a large Tiki bar with seating for 8+, solar nighttime lighting, a sundeck, open floor plan with a fully stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and wifi throughout the home. The "Cove" beach is wonderful for snorkeling right from the beach (we have some gear, but also bring own gear!). You can see many colorful tropical fish less than 50 yards from the beach! The "Tiki" beach to the left features pristine white soft sand and is ideal for swimming and relaxing. Just follow the short yellow ball path in front of the Tiki Bar to find the beach! (the sand shifts with the seasons, so depending when you're there, it might be more sandy on the Cove Beach, it might be more sandy on the Tiki beach!). \*\*When storms come the sand sometimes washes away from 1 or both beaches. It always comes back, but we'll try to keep you updated as your date approaches how sandy each beach is!\*\* \[See updated pics of the beaches from Sept 2024, super super sandy!\] The home features 3 bedrooms, a king, a queen, and 2 singles. The primary bedroom has access to a bathroom with dual sinks, newly installed large walk-in shower with natural stone and tile floors, and with a rain showerhead. All bedrooms enjoy their own outdoor access directly to the beach with beautiful views. The home also features beach chairs, various board games and reading books to enjoy when relaxing. Guests have access to 2 ocean kayaks. Please be sure to drag them well up the beach when not as use as guests will be responsible for a charge of $1500 per kayak to replace them if lost or damaged. Guest access: New dishwasher, new stove, new washer/dryer. Although always best to hang clothes on the outside clothesline with the ocean breezes! Wifi: We added Starlink in 2023 which provides generally very fast internet speeds. We also have an outdoor extender and an indoor one. In case you want to stay connected while on vacation. :) Flights to Cat Island: Makers Air: Fly into Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, or West Palm Beach, take an Uber to Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport, and fly Maker's Air directly to New Bight Airport on Cat Island. Western Air: Fly In Nassau. This was my fourth time back to Cat Island and the first time in Pigeon cay. I loved the central location on the island. The home was everything we expected and was so relaxing. If you are looking for a place to stay with restaurants and music and a lot going on, this is NOT the place for you. If you are looking to TRULY relax, cook your own meals and enjoy the quiet of the Bahamas, this is your place! Cat Island is SO beautiful and serene, and Cat's Cove is the same. This home is the most amazing place we have ever stayed. The home has all that you need to be comfortable, water to drink, all of the cooking supplies you need to just slow down. We had beach towels, clean blankets, amazing views. Everything! We brought way too much stuff! I loved combing the beaches for treasures, I found so many! Our son loved fishing and kayaking, he caught a handful of really cool fish, our daughter loved being in the water and kayaking, and my husband did it all. We enjoyed our sunsets floating in the ocean, and late nights at the Tiki Bar. Music playing loudly, of course! We love that! There wasn't a soul around. It wasn't until the last day that we saw anybody. This vacation was a bit quieter than we thought but it made us unwind. We had a wonderful experience! Rollez for a night and Da Smoke Pot two times and souvenir's on the side of the road! This is a place to truly unwind and just relax. It was amazing! Cat's Cove was nothing less than remarkable. We had really high expectations for the property based on reviews, photos and the video, but when we got there, Cat's Cove so exceeded what we imagined. The home is amazing. Really comfortable and in perfect condition with everything you need. But the location is just unreal. Its on a private beach with a pristine white sand beach on one side perfect for swimming and then a great reef on the other side for snorkeling and exploring. Tons of fish and sea turtles every day. I really cannot say enough. We have been to many islands and stayed in many villas. This was by far the best. In addition, the owners were amazing and super responsive to help with questions. The property managers, Tinny and Debbie were also super helpful and stopped by to make sure everything was good. The grounds keeper, Renaldo needs a big shout out. We loved talking with him and he made us fresh coconut water which was amazing and gave us lots of tips on things to do on Cat! Cat Island is a treasure. I found cats cove as I was looking for a very secluded vacation destination and this place was absolutely amazing! We spent countless hours snorkeling and just taking in the breathtaking views. The house is one of the best equipped rentals I have stayed in, despite being in a secluded location. Two private beaches. All the creature comforts. You fall asleep listening to the waves and wake up to the sunrise reflecting off the water. Only been gone a few days and I’m already desperate to return. A perfect stay! ##### Stefanie B. The property’s private beach provided hours of relaxation as the tropical tide washed away the worries of the world. On the few days when we experienced rain, the layout of the house enabled us to both gather together in common areas for playing games and preparing meals but also offered private areas to nap or read in solitude. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing three meals a day. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable, complemented by the soothing sound of the nighttime surf. This visit was our first to Cat Island, which was quiet, secluded, and seemingly uninhabited. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Each of us is counting the days until we can return. ##### John W. We spent a week here with our 12 and 14 year old kids for spring break. This is one of the most amazing places that I have ever been to. The home is beautiful, however, pales in comparison to the beauty and awe of its surroundings! The beaches that are steps out of the door are 2nd to none! We were able to snorkel right off of the beech and saw tons of marine life including, but not limited to a huge 3-5' stingray! Both our kids and my wife and I had an amazing time. Leslie and Ned who take care of the property and own Pigeon Cay Beach resort are amazing! Can't wait until our next trip to Cat Island! ##### Eric U.
