"The house was in the PERFECT location for a wedding that I was attending. House had plenty of room. Several restaurants choices close by. The Grimsley House had so much history and beautiful architectural features throughout the home. Several times we caught ourselves just sitting on the front porch looking out at the property. We had family drive up from Florida for the day and they stopped by to freshen up and change clothes. They said they had never seen such a gorgeous well built home. The host was very helpful!! Thanks again for such a wonderful experience. "

"Location was great for our travel plans. Easy to find and get to. Our upstairs room was lovely, however the stairs were not ideal (we are in our 70’s ) for carrying luggage. Website said there was an elevator but we couldn't find it. We stayed in the main house which is also lovely. Property was lovely. Check-in was easy although there were no staff which is stated on the website. There was a sign posted in the kitchen about ‘due to staff shortages’….so we completely passed on breakfast which was poor…a basket of not desirable pre-pkgd bakery goods and bars. We headed out to local diner Charlies and had a Thigpen sandwich…it was excellent! We chose to go to Sams BBQ for our dinner. MUST go there! Smoked wing, brisket sandwich and smoke turnip greens were the best Ive ever had!!!!!! "

"The Shack Cabin has been a great place to stay when we have come home to visit family. It is located in a beautiful scenery with plenty of room. You will love the out door tub and Aubrey is an excellent host. We recommend giving it a try if you are in the area! "

"We stayed for one night. One night of hardly any sleep. The first room we were given was a mess. I unlocked the door and someines shoes and personal items were in there. Bed wasnt cleaned after said person slept in it. Crackers and chocolate all over the floor and to top it all off he left us a nice present in the toilet..the front desk staff was amazing though and immediately gave us a new room. Cleaner but not by much. "
