Welcome to Creekside Hideaway, your luxe + modern mountain retreat!

Just 30 minutes from Mt. Rainier National Park, White Pass Ski Area, and an endless network of sublime hiking trails in the Goat Rocks Wilderness Area and Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

Our cabin is located in a quiet and tucked away neighborhood known as “Hideaway”, a gated cluster of vacation cabins. While there's plenty of space in between, you may see some neighbors from time to time. We're surrounded by big skies, mountains and trees as far at the eyes can see. On a clear day, you might be even be able to see Mount Rainier!

Once inside, the first thing you'll notice is the cheerful open layout. Big windows at every turn bring in tons of natural light and tree views -- an instant mood booster.

The large kitchen island was made for entertaining. Marble countertops and counter seating encourage mingling while dinner is prepared on the gas cooktop or convection oven. The dishwasher makes clean-up easy breezy. We provide all the cookware and appliances you'll need: drip coffee maker, French press, coffee bean grinder, blender, instant hot water spigot, ice maker, microwave, toaster.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining area that seats 6 and the living room, the heart of the cabin. Double height ceilings and windows create a bright and airy feeling, while the wood-burning fireplace makes the space cozy and warm. With plenty of couch seating, a large TV, an in-wall speaker system that can be cast from your phone, it'll be easy to spend a lot of time here.

We've included other amenities that will make for a relaxing and comfortable stay: speedy Wifi, central heat and air conditioning, outdoor fire pit and seating area, Weber BBQ gas grill, level 2 EV charger, and Rudy's hair/bath products. A whole house ventilation system runs silently 24/7 to bring in HEPA filtered outdoor air. The result is excellent indoor air quality and no need to open windows for fresh air.

The base nightly rate includes up to 3 guests. Any additional guests beyond 3 is $25/person * total nights booked, plus tax.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the ground floor is a bedroom with queen bed and sweet reading nook, and a full bathroom with bathtub. The master bedroom is upstairs, and has a king bed and large windows looking out onto trees and occasionally Mt. Rainier. The bunkroom is also upstairs and has 2 twin + 2 full bunk beds and a TV, perfect for the kiddos. The 2nd full bathroom is upstairs, with a shower and twin vanities.

We're sitting silently on the sidelines until you need us. We'll make sure you have everything you need to locate our cabin and get comfortable with minimal fuss. We won't be checking in with you unless it seems helpful or necessary. We assume you'd rather just get on with the business of relaxing and enjoying our home than swap messages with us.

If you're good with that arrangement, we'd love to host you!

We include a map, detailed driving directions and recommendations for local things to do in our guest book, which we will share with you when you complete your booking.

Max occupancy is 6 people. Parties exceeding max occupancy must be approved in writing prior to check-in.

Guests will have access to all areas of the property except for the garage and the wood shed.
We love hosting, and we want you to have the best possible experience here. To that end, it's critical that every adult in your party reads and acknowledges these policies and rules.

IMPORTANT: BY BOOKING WITH US, YOU AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. FURTHER, YOU ENSURE THAT EVERYONE IN YOUR PARTY WILL ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING POLICIES AND RULES.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance for your own protection. We will not make refund/cancellation policy exceptions for reasons of illness, accidents, injuries, family tragedies, etc.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT PRE-AUTHORIZATION

Per the rental agreement when you booked, we will pre-authorize a $600 damage deposit for the card on file at the start of your stay. Your card will not be charged unless there are damages, and the authorization is released within 4 days of your departure.

UNREPORTED GUESTS

Double check the guest count on your reservation. Max guests = 6 people. If your party size exceeds the number of guests reported and paid for in your reservation, then you need to notify us before you arrive. Party sizes that exceed the maximum number of allowed guests will incur an additional $300 penalty.

GENERAL HOUSE RULES

Don't even think of throwing a party here. If your plans include keg stands, beer pong, Jackass stunts, loud music, or any other Animal House fantasies, please keep looking. You'll get evicted, annoy our neighbors, and forfeit your deposit. We promise, it will suck for everyone.

Check-in/out time is as stated in the listing. We cannot accommodate requests for early check-ins or late check-outs, no matter the season or circumstances.

Flushing anything but pee, poop or toilet paper is the surest way to ruin your stay and forfeit your deposit. You'll back up the septic system, which could have really foul consequences. The minimum charge to clear a septic clog is $500.

The maximum occupancy at this property is 6 people. Only reported guests are allowed on the property during the rental period. See Unreported Guests, above.

The Washington Department of Natural Resources often restricts outdoor fires in the summer to prevent wildfires. Burning during a fire ban is dangerous; the penalties are severe, and any violators will be reported and evicted without negotiation or compensation. We'll put a large magnet on the refrigerator when there's a burn ban in effect; however, we also encourage you to check the Lewis County Blog for the latest burn ban restrictions throughout your stay.

The land surrounding our cabin is home to a vast array of wildlife. Cougars, bears, bobcats and coyotes have been seen around here. Supervise your children and pets very closely.

Amplified music is not allowed anywhere on the deck or in the front yard. This includes portable outdoor speakers.

The forest is as fragile as it is breathtaking. Be mindful of your footprint, and please do your part to respect and preserve this special place. Don't harm the trees, dump waste, litter, or burn anything outside of the fire ring. Bag your pet's poop every time.

Do not put anything but people and bathing suits in the hot tub. Soap, sand, candles, or just about anything but people will damage the equipment and result in a steep charge to your credit card on file.

As the registered guest, you're required to share this information with others in your party and take responsibility for any damage(s) they might incur during your stay.
Firewood and other emergency supplies are provided for emergency use only (such as a power outage). If you use the emergency supplies during any other time, a $50 replacement fee will be deducted from your damage deposit.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY

Use of the cabin for any other type of photo/video shoot that's conducted by a professional video/photographer will require a written approval, signed agreement, and fee in addition to the nightly rate. You'll need to contact us outside of this booking platform before booking. Any products or services you're proposing to shoot must align with our look, brand and values. Send us an email with a description of what you'd like to shoot, and for whom you'll be shooting, and we'll get back to you.

Please know in advance that we take this policy very seriously, and that violation will result in immediate eviction without negotiation or compensation, and possible legal action that will require you to appear in small claims court in Lewis County, WA.

SECURITY CAMERAS

We have exterior security cameras and you'll be recorded as you come and go. If you're uncomfortable with this, please get in touch before booking so that we can make an alternative arrangement. There are absolutely no cameras anywhere inside the cabin.

EVENTS

We cannot host events of any kind, of any duration, no matter the guest count. This includes weddings, elopements, and receptions. Please, do not send us a booking request for your event--we cannot make any exceptions whatsoever.

PETS

One small dog under 30lbs is allowed on this property. Violation may result in a $200 fee.

We love the kitties, but not the claws and allergens. Cats are not allowed on the property.

SMOKING (TOBACCO AND CANNABIS)

Our indoor smoking ban includes tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and vaporizers. If we smell smoke or cannabis, you can expect a claim and charge to your credit card.

SUBLEASES AND TRANSFERS

Your booking is non-transferable, and no right to sublease is allowed or implied. The guest of record must be present at check-in and check-out.

WINTER DRIVING

We are accessible year-round from Seattle, Portland and points east. We don't get as much snow as you might think. For most of the winter, we're at least 1,000 feet below the snow line. That said, we'll still get a good blast of snow about twice a year, between December and April. We recommend AWD/4WD in the winter months, but if you've got front wheel drive with good tire tread, you'll probably get around just fine.

LOSS OF USE

If the violation of any of these terms and conditions should result in damages that would require the owners/operators to take the property out of use for a paid stay(s), then guest shall be liable for 100% of forgone revenue resulting from the loss of use, in addition to damages.

HOT TUB, LOFT LADDER, BUNK BED and SAUNA WAIVER (where applicable)

Only guests declared with this booking may use the hot tub, loft ladder, bunk bed(s), or sauna.

Perfect Second Stay

This was our second stay, and we can’t wait to come again. We love this home so much. It’s spotlessly clean, cozy, quiet, and still so close to town! This trip was just the two of us, and we both had to work during the week days. Internet was speedy and reliable!

Beautiful, quiet and convenient Packwood getaway

Perfect getaway for two couples. The home was gorgeous and like new, while also very comfortable and relaxing. The views from one side of the home are of Rainier and surrounding mountains, and the other is a wooded peaceful area next to a babbling creek. It is just uphill from town (walking distance for us - might not be for everyone). Every item we could need for cooking was available in the kitchen, there were tons of great games for all ages, and the bathrooms were well stocked with towels and toiletries. We don’t have children, but for those who do, the bunk room was really cool with big bunks and fun lighting around the ceiling. The hosts were wonderful and we loved the very informative (and some funny) reviews and suggestions for places to see and things to do around the area. We have stayed in several vacation homes in the area, and this is our favorite by far. Perfect place to stay while experiencing all there is to do around Packwood - the awesome hiking, the scenery, the breweries, the burgers, etc.
