"We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. There is a restaurant on the property which would have been a complete game changer but it wasn't open during our visit in mid-November. The times...

"I’m not particularly spiritual, but I practically had a religious experience here, floating in a beautiful pool under a moonlit sky, surrounded by the chatter of five or six monkeys hiding in the trees next to me.In the morning we would ride down into town to grab coffees and pastries and dance on the dusky sand with our kids, finding tiny crabs and strange shells in the warm water. I would go back in a heartbeat."

"We stayed for 3 nights, and it was very pleasant. Check in went without a hitch, the facilities were very clean, pool is very nice. Rules are in place to limit noise after 10pm, which we found very reasonable and all guests seemed to respect it so we had a very relaxing and calm stay. Parking is also provided, but it is not gated, so make sure not to leave any valuable items in your car just in case (we didn't have any incidents at all)."

"Great potential, but major issues across the board. Our room had a strong, unpleasant odor that came and went throughout the day, which made it uncomfortable. The door lock also broke twice during our stay, and one repair took about 30 minutes due to staff having issues with their equipment/WiFi. The all-inclusive experience was disappointing. Food quality was below average, and every day they were out of something—ranging from basics like orange juice to even chicken. That level of inconsistency is frustrating when everything is supposed to be included. The amenities were also lacking. One of the two pools was consistently cloudy and unusable, outdoor furniture was often dirty, and there was a shortage of pool towels. On top of that, the power flickered frequently and went out completely at least twice a day, even if only for a few minutes. Overall, this property has potential, but there are too many operational and maintenance issues to justify the cost. Significant improvements are needed before I would consider returning."

"This was the best hotel we stayed at in all of Costa Rica! Absolutely gorgeous property, beautiful pool, clean rooms, the most comfortable beds, and wonderful made to order breakfast. We traveled with our 3 year old and we were delighted to find toys and children's books in the lovely sitting area. Such a big help for parents! I'm so happy we stayed here!"

"What an incredible stay at Olas Verdes! In the quieter southern neighborhood of Guiones Beach, Nosara the property is as beachfront on the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica as you can get to a world class surf break… and man did we luck out! There was a southern swell pumping overhead high waves all week. CR protects its mangrove so there is a buffer of dry forrest/mangrove to the bern, but it is a beautiful trail, and not far. The facilities are terrific, modern and very clean. The staff is warm, very friendly and accommodating. My family stayed in suite 202 which was great for a spouse and 2 young elementary school kids on spring break. Breakfast was included and delicious every morning at El Manglar. We also ate at Beach Dog, El Ruco, Al Chile, Sendero Kitchen and La Ventanita which were close, fresh and surprisingly clean yet great eats. Would 100% recommend!"
