Having a refrigerator and kitchen was very helpful, especially for preparing quick meals and storing snacks. The 7-Eleven just a short walk away was also super convenient. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, always quick to respond and genuinely caring. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay. We received impeccable communication prior to arriving so we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived. We were provided with everything our family needed during our stay. The beds were very comfortable, with a separate bedroom for each of us. The home is within walking distance to a train station as well as some great shopping and restaurants. From Kansai airport, we took the train then walked 5 minutes from Sumiyoshi higachi station to the property. The trains were very accessible, by the way. The house is a modern/traditional design with energy and water efficiency throughout. The Japanese silk screen room dividers and shoji screen door at the main entrance added a wonderful experience of Japan’s natural beauty and art. Rinka was waiting for us at the house and greeted us enthusiastically upon our arrival. She took the time to show us all the facilities and also explained the house rules. (No slippers on the tatami please!). The amenities and Rinka’s service were beyond our expectations! Our family of 3 adults and 2 children, fit quite comfortably. All the guest conveniences were well thought out, from the towels to the cell phone charging blocks, which were provided! My partner and I stayed for about a month and SumiYoshi became our home away from home. A quaint residential neighborhood that fulfilled our desire to live and feel like locals.
