Mount Vernon

« The property was nice, cute little house, well decorated. Located minutes to the lake and to the little town. In July there is not a view of the lake. A couple doors have holes in them, broken porch chair and there was 3 year old expired eggs in the refrigerator, expired creamer and condiments. House needed a good dusting but bathroom was clean. Toilet ran the whole time. I would recommend staying at this place. »

« We enjoyed the clean cabin and peace and quiet. We were surprised at how new it seemed. We enjoyed the deck in the evenings and read out there. We played games we brought in the evening. PBS are the only TV channels available. It was a great location for all the sites we wanted to visit. Only complaint , our host cancelled one night and did not refund our money. We would highly recommend this place. »

« Our stay with Kay began with prompt communication and dozens of small delights and surprises. A stocked snack basket. Morning caffeine options. Brownies with a gift bow. Included firewood. Assorted toiletries. All at no extra charge; a serious value add. It was immediately apparent that Kay put a lot of thought and care into preparing the property, as if a close friend were staying there. This VRBO has everything you’d need but underwear. So great was the care that if I didn’t have a mother I’d...

« Amazing location. If you are looking for a place that is quite and away from all noise this is it. The first morning when we went to sit on the deck we were greeted by 15-20 turkeys that were just wondering through the woods. The next morning we saw 2 deer at the top of the hill. Minus the distant mooing of a few cows there was zero noise pollution. The covered deck and rocking chairs were amazing to sit and have a morning coffee. The bed was so soft and comfortable. The shower was amazing also....
