"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. "Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities."

"Perfect place to stay in Yosemite! Stayed in the larger unit last year, which is roomier with a large kitchen. Since it was already booked 8 months in advance, we rented the smaller place which is a decent sized studio. Feels like a large hotel room, but is very comfortable and convenient, especially if you don’t plan on cooking much. We used the outdoor grill and it was great. Good ac, quiet. "
