Ideally located a short walk from the beach, ferry, and restaurants, this home is convenient to all the nearby attractions. Ferry service from Bay Shore lands you in the heart of the Ocean Bay Park commercial district, which gives off a bohemian and breezy vibe. Downtown Ocean Bay Park features bay-front dining, a grocery store, and a bicycle rental shop. The kitchen features white cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. Fully equipped for your use, there is also a coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, dishware, glassware and pots & pans. The indoor dining table accommodates six guests and there is comfortable living room seating with room for the whole family to relax. The four bedrooms can easily accommodate ten people; two have queen- sized beds, and the other two each have three single beds. In addition, there are two newly renovated full bathrooms, both with spacious standing showers. THINGS TO KNOW This home is only accessible via ferry. There are strict noise and no party restrictions at this home. If you feel this may be an issue for your group, please select a different property. Our first visit to fire island was beyond our expectations. The house had bikes and we explored and enjoyed the simplicity of no cars and the friendliness of our little neighborhood. The convenience store was on our block, nearby to the best spot for live music, a pizza place with ice cream, and a beautiful stroll to the ocean. We enjoyed towels, beach chairs, sundries: basically only needed to pack our clothes and we were all set for a perfect experience. Close to the ferry and Ocean Beach, too. Very clean, plenty of beds and space for everyone. It was extremely well stocked- plates, cups, cooking pans were really nice, towels, etc. they provided small soaps and shampoos/conditioners. Lots of extra blankets. AC’s worked great as well as WiFi. The outdoor shower and washer/dryer were such nice extras that everyone enjoyed. We needed help with a few things and the management was super responsive, helpful and polite. Location was great, few houses from Flynn’s and pantry story and a five minute walk from the beach and ferry. Would absolutely recommend this home even, thank you for a great stay and wondering memories made with our children and family. The garbage outside had meat and other garbage not in bags. The storm door was broken which we fixed ourselves, the floor was full of sand, the air conditioner in the kitchen didnt blow cold air and the fan in the ktchen didnt work either, the remote was nowhere to be found. There is a strong musty smell in the back bedrooms and there is standing water under the house. I would not stay here if you have any kind of lung sensitivity or smell sensitivity. If you don’t, there are many nice parts of the house and amenities (bikes, wagon, nice beach chairs) that can make it a very nice stay. I would give this house 4.5 stars if I could. It was a bit of a rocky start as the dishwasher and convection oven were not working and there was no wagon upon our arrival. However the house as a whole is great. There were upgrades from our stay last year which we loved. The beds are comfortable, it’s well equipped in the kitchen and everything you need for the beach. Our biggest complaint and the reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because we specifically chose this rental for the bikes and grill. Oct 1, 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Traditional Fire Island house but needs some love This is a traditional Fire Island house - simple construction, great room, small bedrooms, narrow hallways. Very nice deck and outdoor shower. It was end of the season, but there were a number of small maintenance issues - a number of missing screens, which forced us to use the air-conditioning, even though it was cool. 7 or 8 bikes, none of which had air (no air pump) or were rideable (busted seats, bent frame, etc.). Sep 18, 2020 #### First Week of Post-Season This house was great. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is for a few small things: there was a weird smell in the two large bedrooms (it may have went away or we got used to it), no real oven (i'm really not at all familiar with how to operate a convection/microwave oven hybrid so we just used stove top and grill), the grill igniter button was broken (so i had to light the grill with a lighter), the lock was super finicky, the internet kept dropping (and we had two super rainy days), and the shower near the two full sized bedrooms was missing one of it's doors so there was always a puddle outside of the shower on the bathroom floor. Other than that, the beds were comfortable! The house was clean! So many towels and blankets and linens. Great location. Very simple house, which is all we needed. Sep 11, 2020 Liked: Check-in, communication, location #### Nice place rant great place with plenty of room. Kitchen could have been stocked a bit better but was still clean and neat. Bicycles at the house do not work so you have y To rent for sure. Plenty of beach chairs for guests, but umbrellas did not work and outdoor table had no umbrella. Aside from these small easy fixes, location was great, recently renovated bathrooms great and the house is small but feels way more s p across them other FI rentals. ##### Liz C. This was our first time on Fire Island (5 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 infant, 2 dogs). Close to store and restaurants, close enough to walk to Ocean Beach. House held us all comfortably. No complaints at all. Plenty of towels, beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys. Would definitely recommend and we would stay here again! ##### Rose A.
