"I arrived after 5pm and had not realised Sykes cottages were dealing with the property. It took me two hours to get in because of email issues and also no one to get hold of after hours from Sykes. This needs looking into. The property itself was well worth the hassle I had been through and I will definitely go back for a second visit. It was clean and very quiet. Only issue was recycling I didn’t know what went where. Maybe a sheet telling you what to do. But apart from this would recommend."

"We booked Molly’s Pantry as a relatively last minute get away (the name helped as our daughter is called Molly) and we were so pleasantly surprised! The house is beautiful, clean and the hosts have thought of everything, including bowls and beds for furry friends! "Great location and so convenient for local restaurants and shops. Parking offside took a minute or two and was really easy. Our room was very large and perfect for my disabled Mum. Breakfast and food in the bar was excellent. It was lovely to sit and relax with such a stunning view. Chantelle made sure our room was always clean and lovely to return to. All the staff were so sweet and nothing was too much trouble. Overall great value, fabulous location, gorgeous views and walkability."

"I needed somewhere to stay close to a festival venue and Newby Bridge Hotel fitted the brief. The staff on reception desk were helpful and welcoming. The main hotel building shows signs of age and wear and tear in the corridors but the bedroom itself was clean and comfortable. The breakfast experience was a bit hit and miss - even before halfway through service things were running out and not replaced quickly. Staff were obviously working hard but the dining room was busy: there was also debris on the floor and tables not cleared quickly. Food was good and when dishes were replenished there was a good selection of cereals and continental style options as well as cooked items. Parking was a bit of an issue - perhaps the bays could be repainted to help clarify where 'double' rows are and assist with guests parking considerately and ensuring everyone is accommodated. I would however use this hotel again."
