Areas of opportunity - the top bunk bed was very unstable, the house could really use a good clean (lots of hair on the floor, sand, dishes still in the dishwasher, etc), needs an electronic keypad instead of key lock. My wife, our dog Clover and I stayed at the Lucky Duck for a week. What an amazing property in great condition, with a perfect location and amazing ocean views. The whole house was clean and the hut tub on cool evenings after a long day walking around was very welcome. The kitchen was well equipped, the furniture was comfortable, the A/C worked great and the beds were comfortable. The Lucky Duck was a great launching point for all things OBX. We went to the Wright brothers memorial, Jockey ridge park, drove the beach of Corolla, played golf, saw all the lighthouses, went to the aquarium, the Elizabethan gardens, festival park, drove up and down the OBX and so much more. The owner has gone of if his or her way to make sure guests are comfortable. Nice living furniture, comfortable beds, plenty of deck space, beautiful kitchen countertops, and a well stocked kitchen. We wanted for nothing. It was all there. The “house booklet” was very thorough, from how to use the TVs to checkout procedures. The location couldn’t have been better. House was very clean and well appointed. Only one carpet in the living room so my allergies were not irritated and was a nice bonus.
