« Overall we greatly enjoyed our time here. However, there were a few issues. First, the freezer melted our ice cream. Second, we were basically told "good luck" about using the oven, which would have been nice to know before we bought groceries. Third, the heat had already been turned off for the season and it was COLD at night. Thankfully some of the beds had heaters, which was great. The fireplace downstairs is just for looks/ambience. « The property and house were wonderful and just like it was listed. The house is in a great location and it’s easy and quick to get to both Mackinaw City and Cheboygan. The house was well stocked with all the necessities plus fun extras like board games. My family loved the private beach and we enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace at night. It was too windy for us to do a bonfire, but the fire pit and the rest of the property were well maintained. We had a great, relaxing stay. »

« If you are there for outdoor activities, property is great. Nice screened in porch. Nice deck on the lake. Unfortunately, weather kept us indoors more than we had planned. No tv unless you bring your own hotspot. Living room furniture not so comfy. Cabin could sleep 6 people easily, but bathroom is not equipped for 6. Area is very convenient to Mac City. »

« Not a complaint but to let you know the front left burner on the stove is very slow in heating up. Also you have an outlet in the living room without a cover on it. Overall we enjoyed the stay, even went kayaking in the rain when we got there. Also checked out the falls you mentioned in your guide and checked out the local eating establishments. »

« We really enjoyed our stay at the Hamilton Inn again. We have stayed at this hotel on many previous trips to Mackinaw City. The morning breakfast had a great variety of items to select from. It was well stocked. It’s a shame other hotel guests had to bring with them, many take-out containers that they filled with food while they ate in the breakfast room. I guess they were going to have a 2nd breakfast somewhere. We enjoyed our special extra large room also. »
