I've done this a bunch and stayed a lot of different houses in the deep Creek area, and I can say that this is definitely the best one we've stayed at. It's only about 10 minutes from wisp. « The Black Bear Lodge is one of the best places to stay in Western Maryland, especially if you enjoy entertaining. It has a perfect layout with a big deck and a nice living room area. And then on the lower floor is a nice game room. There are HDTVs in every single guest room.And here is a great extra plus: the top floor master bedroom has its own bathroom and a small loft which can double as an office. If you need a little break from your guests, you can retreat up there and get some quiet time...

« The Historic Farm property was beautiful! Our family enjoyed fishing at the pond and biking in and around the property. We hiked and swam in the nearby State Parks. The bedrooms were spacious and the king sized beds comfortable. It was great to have meals with the whole family around the large dining room table. The ice machine in the cozy kitchen was an added bonus. »
