"The cabin was pleasant, had basic necessities. I deducted two stars because there was absolutely NO COMMUNICATION from the host. The site said there would be no one present at check in and directions would be sent prior to arrival. I heard nothing, even after reaching out multiple times. "This is a great location, very peaceful. Nice to have a restaurant on site. They were very accommodating given that we had early morning tours. They fed us a tad earlier than they typically open. They were very helpful with everything. The location is uphill from town so we would walk down and take a $5 cab ride back up after dinner. The food at the restaurant was good. Lots of breakfast options. "

"Cassia Hills has been around a long time and is a lovely property. Lounging by the pool was great, staff brought us fresh coconuts. In fact, the staff really MADE our stay. They bent over backwards to ensure that everything was great, helped us when asked and were lovely to interact with. Joe, Carlos and Sarlee (front desk) were friendly and kind. I was with my mom and aunt and our cabin was far from the front desk so Joe and Carlos drove us to and from the room...super nice. Would stay again. "

"The property is very nice and has a lot of potential, but our stay had a few issues. The room cleanliness was not the best and there was a very strong noticeable mold smell. The AC also did not work in one of our rooms. The food was just okay, and we found it was better to drive into town for meals. The pool also had extremely cold water — probably the coldest in Belize — which made it barely usable. Overall, the property is beautiful, but there are a few areas that could really use improvement."
