« An older hotel but fairly well maintained »

« I strongly recommend this location. I think by San Antonio standards it is centrally located, and there are quite a few restaurants nearby. Best of all, parking is included as well as breakfast and a daily happy hour with food. In downtown San Antonio there is very little to do other than walking on the Riverwalk (highly overrated), the Alamo, and an art museum. It is NOT the typical American city downtown area. There are almost no stores and nothing else to do besides what I just mentioned...

« I thought these hotels were supposed to be nice. The lady who checked us in was either having a terrible day or shouldn’t work in customer service. The rooms were nothing crazy and my mom’s didn’t even have body wash and the bathtub in ours was clogged. We requested a crib and it looked like a jail cell. No, we didn’t except a fancy crib but it was extremely outdated. Also have to pay for wifi and parking. »

« The lobby was closed upon arrival, took a while for the doors to be unlocked. Lobby air condition was broken, with one box fan circulating the air, the smell of pot was wafting in from the outside patio, where the doors were open. The lobby may have been recently updated, however, the rooms haven’t. Bedding was old and pillows were extremely old/lumpy. »

« Nice property aesthetically but there was instances of dirt in my room. On the sheet and the ice Bucket top had residue of dirt. »

« The bed was amazing. Breakfast was not what I thought it would be. They only served eggs and sausage. Cereal was hard to dispense and not much of an option. Apple juice was great but no waffles or fruit. The place is clean but the fridge was loud. My card key had to be fixed everyday. But an upside, there was renovation happening so hope they are getting upgraded. »

« Little things like ‘ only members get bottled water - what the hell is that, and it’s such an inexpensive change »

« The room was literally falling apart. The door to the room was falling off the hinges and the lock was barely attached. The closet door was hanging in pieces. The tiles in the bathroom were missing grout and were broken. The air conditioner struggled to cool the room in May. The wall paper was peeling off the walls. And when we mentioned issues to the staff the response we got was a snarky "that's why we're renovating". »
