Okayama friendly hotel.

"The hotel is very convenient for travelers who use the railways as their mode of transport. The rooms are well maintained and clean.The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK depending on what time you got there. On the whole I would recommend the Toyoko hotels."

Great staff, comfortable stay.

"Check-in was very easy. The staff was very friendly, attentive and spoke very good English which was nice. Stayed in a non-smoking queen with lounge access, room was above average for typical Japanese size hotel room. The 17th floor and room was showing a little bit of wear specifically the carpeting in both. Lounge staff was very nice. Super convenient to Okayama station and plenty of food options near by. "

"Located in a small Japanese covered shopping street close to Okayama station. Good sized room with typical Japanese high standard of cleanliness. Front staff both very professional and friendly. Enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine every evening in the lobby. "

"I loved my stay at this hotel. Yes, the hotel is old and outdated for sure, but it is kept clean. My room was small, but the bed was bigger than expected. The free, hot breakfast was very nice. Many dishes (not only eggs and sausages but also cooked vegetables, meat, miso soup, etc.). But due to the breakfast area being small, the line was long. It was really close to Okayama Station. There are two convenience stores nearby (Lawson and Seven-Eleven). Lots of restaurants around. Some front desk people should be more friendly. I don't know if I want to return with my family, but the hotel catered to my basic needs (traveling alone). "

KAMP Houkan-cho Backpacker's Inn & Lounge - Hostel

"I really enjoyed staying here - the building style and layout was cool and creative, and I liked the bar/music element. Dozens of restaurants and shops were right around the corner - it was a cool area to explore. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would note, is that the room I stayed in was not very easy to keep warm. For the duration of my stay, I had the heater on full, which was only just able to get the room to a comfortable temperature (was there in winter). Other than that though, I would definitely recommend staying here!"

"This business hotel is a model of efficiency. Rooms are small, compact, but designed for efficiency. If you like a good value, this is the place. Includes a healthy breakfast, use of pajamas, and toiletries. Rooms are not cleaned everyday, which keeps costs low. Good location. "
