It was beautiful and the way the home was decorated and the artwork were all so impressive. My favorite times of the day there were morning and evening (we were usually gone all day!) drinking my coffee on the chaise lounge on the pool patio and the 3 of us sitting with our legs in the pool sipping on margaritas. Alberto took care of our every need and Mark was so helpful, informative and kind! I highly recommend staying in this home if your are visiting Merida! ##### Maureen R. It’s a nice blend of old world colonial charm and new world comfort and convenience . the best restaurant street in Merida is only 1block away and there are at least 5+ really good restaurants there. Walking to the gran plazza ( center of town) is 15-20 min and easy during the day. Mark the owner is super responsive and has lots of recommendations for activities. Alberto is the local property manager he is very nice and very responsive but only speaks Spanish so brush up on how to use google translate. The house is like living in a piece of history, beautiful, comfortable and the location is just blocks from Paseo de Montejo, amazing shops and restaurants, etc. If I was planning another trip to Merida, my first choice would be to stay here again. We were able to walk everywhere in the Centro area we wanted to see, and take day trips in our rental car (and park right out front of the house). Cannot fault anything. Generous with water, soaps, codmetics etc. The welcome gifts of wine and a vast array of fruits was extremely generous. We arrived before the appointed check in time and every effort was made to accommodate us. Communication with the owners and managers of the house was excellent. Nothing to fault. The price was a little higher than we normally pay in Merida, but well worth it. Would definitely return to Casa Roja in the future. A big thank you for having us. ##### Paul H.
