Unique design, great view of the bay, but lacks facilities. Arrived at 12pm and was told “room wasn’t ready” by reception and then when I said I didn’t mind to pay for an upgrade to another room that’s ready, he then said, oh well your room is actually ready but check in is at 2pm so you have to pay $50 for early check in…. No room service, no restaurant, no gym/pool (or at least wasn’t informed when checking in). Check out is strictly at 10am, other properties typically don’t bother you until 11am but here someone knocked on my door at 10:20 to ask why I haven’t checked out…

property is good but watch out for how the staff treat you. they make false promises. i called this hotel 3 times to triple check if i could check in at 12:30. they even called me back to tell me there was a “guarantee” that i would be able to check in at 12:30. then when i got there, the rudest male staff member literally gaslit me into saying that was incorrect information. told me i had to pay for it (when this was not communicated at all on the 3 seperate occasions i called) and continued to tell me that there was never a guarantee. and told me to come back at 2 but he will “try” and call when the next available room is ready. we wait for 30 minutes and we go back to reception to double check and a different staff member tells us we can check in. mind you, we had to go check OURSELVES. they didn’t call us like they told us they will. another false promise. so just watch out. they will lie to you and try to make you out to be crazy. everything else was nice the hotel was clean and i would’ve even stayed there again except the staff were just disgraceful. don’t want to deal with that ever again to be honest. the female staff i called on the phone were exceptionally lovely but that man? ruined the experience.

We only stayed for 1 night. But it really catered for my family of 4 (with 2 small kids). Staff were great from check-in to check-out. Really appreciated they were responsive if we had any questions. Loved that there was a kitchenette with plates and cutleries, etc. bathroom was decent, beds were comfy and a great cafe around the corner called Mr Percival. Also helpful they offered to store our luggage for a few hours post check-out to explore the area before we had to catch flight in the evening. We will definitely stay again!

Our stay here for The Eras Tour was perfect! The staff were all so friendly and assisted us whenever we needed. My teenage girls felt comfortable and the room was so spacious. Mr Percival Cafe was delicious for breakfast too just around the corner. One thing I will say is confirm booking directly with hotel. The property went above and beyond for me and it all worked out ok but during a weekend where almost every hotel in Melbourne was fully booked, it could have been a different story. Also first night was direct debited when this app said pay at property.

Very close to tram and 2 cafes. While it is about 6 stops outside of CBD, I still found the location convenient. Staff were excellent. Room was very spacious and lovely.

I woke to a small leak in my room next to a window caused by some rain but they quickly sorted it so I could move to another room. But still didn’t ruin my stay as it was a lovely hotel, very easy access to trams into the city or St Kilda beach

Very clean and quiet for a restful sleep. The pillows were so fluffy but supportive at the same time. We had a nice view of the Albert Park lake, plenty of natural light which is a beautiful view. Parking instructions were not clear for us, but was not an issue when we buzz the front desk for access. Very helpful staff.

At first appearance nice. However the issue with the room is is done not cater for a person who is small in stature. I could not reach any of the crockery. So I was unable to make a cup of tea until my grandchild climbed up on a chair for me. Sadly the next day after room service finished, again I was unable to reach the crockery. Not enough tea bags as it appears they were not replaced. I also paid the extra fee to have a late check out due to a meeting. I was disturb dyeing the meeting as the staff member did not check my status. I would not stay there again.

Overall really pleased with my stay, the staff were super accommodating which was lovely. On one night our air conditioning stopped, it was very hot and the staff moved us to another room, the same kind of room within 30 minutes. One disadvantage was the bathroom, there was a lot of dust build up in the exhaust fan not allowing steam to properly escape as it should. On top of this, there was slight moulding around the grout/corking of the tub and shower. The toilet seat was clean but around where the toilet seat joins the bowl of the toilet was quite dirty too. Just a little more attention to detail or slightly more experienced/motivated cleaners. There was also a huntsman spider above our bed when we arrived, which I felt was strange since the rooms are usually set up before the guests arrive. Given it’s Australia, this can be excused. The establishment is great and listed as 5 stars therefore the cleanliness should be 5 stars too. Again this is very minor when the overall place felt tidy and the staff were lovely. Would absolutely stay again in the future - just some feedback that could be worth noting.
