Chalets à Manitou Beach

« We really like this hotel and have stayed there a number of times. My only complaint: there is a smell in the lobby that is like sewage. I mentioned this to staff. One said others have mentioned it. Thank god our room didn’t the smell. I was in town for a party for my mom and I told friends to stay there. They too said “why is there a sewer odor?” Corporate has got to address this!!! »

« Enjoyed our stay. Staff was nice. My only complaint was the noise from the traffic on US 223. Really loud! If we stay again we will ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel. »

« If you want to camp and have a camping experience, then this is the perfect spot! Lots of animals to see between the owner's horses and cats. The kitchen and bathroom are both shared spaces, not with the owners, but with the multiple other cabins on the property. So you are not super secluded from other people. We went in October, and the outdoor shower did not have hot water, so it was a rather cold shower. Holly, the owner, did say that they are going to replace the water heater soon, but...

« Everything was great as usual. I just wanted to let you know that the heating remote did not work well. We also could not find a local news/weather channel on TV. That might be nice to include instructions on how to find that, if possible. Thank you and we look forward to staying there again. »

« The property is old and dated. Needs updating. Beds are extremely soft which may be a problem for people with bad backs. Parking was fine. Music was blasting in the lobby over a crackly speakers. »

« We stayed for the night for our 11th wedding anniversary. Holly is an amazing host, as soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed and given a tour of Cowboy town along with how it came to be. Then shown our cabin which was so beautiful. It was quiet and private, there was a wedding the next day and even the preparation for that did not interfere with our stay. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice private escape. Thank you Holly »

« The house was beautiful and clean with an amazing view of the lake, our host was so kind, accommodating, and communication was excellent. We will definitely be coming back during the summer to utilize the lake. It was a great house to celebrate our Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with our adult children.
