« This was the perfect place for our family of 9! It's better than the pictures! The yard and lake are great for days of fun, plus we drove to the iron mine one day and North Shore Drive another. The cabin was comfortable and had all that was needing for a relaxing stay. We loved the loons and the friendly squirrel. We even saw a bear near Makinen! »

« As described! Safe neighborhood, nice access to Iron Range activities. We were here for biking and had the shuttle drop us in Marble and we biked back; next day biked past Embarrass and shuttled back. Perfect! Ate in two nights and it worked great. I can’t overstate how clean it was. Oh…I brought an air mattress because, well, sleeper sofa, but the mattress on the sleeper was great! Highly recommended »

« A large, authentic log cabin with plenty of room and comfortable beds. We especially loved the front dining room with windows looking outover the lake and the patio/firepit.Briar Lake is a small, shallow lake with weeds and moderate clarity, so it wasn't ideal for swimming, but the kids and grandkids enjoyed the paddleboards....and the sauna was a nice feature.Great communication and very easy check-in and check-out. Very nice to have a washer/dryer and dishwasher. »

« Amazing property and great experience overall! Roxie and Kelly are exceptional hosts and we cannot recommend them enough. The house has everything you could need, is exceptionally clean and well equipped for a family vacation. Check in was easy and everything was ready for us when we arrived, the kitchen and the rest of the house is fully equipped even if you forget something, you don’t have to worry as it will most likely be available for you to use from plates to coffee, it’s all there. »
