"Our family had a wonderful stay at Brookside. The cottage is clean and spacious, with beautiful light. The beach is a short walk away, and was wonderful for an early morning walk and evening swim. The screened porch was a wonderful spot to drink a coffee and listen to the brook babbling nearby.We ate at some delicious local restaurants and enjoyed many local attractions. Will definitely return every summer!"

"Our family (2 adults and a teen) had a wonderful stay at this lovely house on the west coast of Cape Breton. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice—the house is spacious with huge windows all around the upper level. The view of the water is spectacular from the enormous deck. The kitchen is well appointed and had everything we needed."

"What an incredible place!We arrived a little early, but Gus and Gert were there to greet us with a warm, friendly welcome. The house itself is spacious - perfect for our family of four - and absolutely spotless. There’s even a driving range with a one‑hole golf setup outside for practicing your swing. On top of all that, the location in the Margaree Valley is ideal for exploring beautiful beaches, the Cabot Trail, Cheticamp for whale excursions, and the Skyline Trail."
