![We had an early start this morning.  Heading out to the Mara River in hopes to experience the Great Wildebeest Migration.  Our Maasai guides took us off course, however, when their walkie-talkies and cell phones started squawking .  A very rare sighting they told us, very rare.  Quickly our vehicle bumped along over rocks and hills and boulders until we saw it.  An extremely rare sighting in the Mara, a lone black rhino.  Having spent the night wallowing in the mud, this two-toned black rhino split the herds of wildebeest on its way to destinations unknown.  Hopefully for many many years to come, but the reality is grim, and these beautiful creatures may not be here for our children's children.

"We had an amazing 3 night stay at the Mara Major Camp, with 2 full day game drives and one morning game drive. Both Anthony and Sam (our guides) were incredibly knowledgable and committed to providing us the best safari experience. They went out of their way to focus on animals we wanted to see and put in every effort to find the rarest animals to spot. The food at Camp was delicious and all of the staff were absolutely lovely. The tent was very comfortable, with good amenities and products. We will definitely be recommending the Mara Major Camp to our friends/family!"

"We had a fabulous stay at Sentrim Mara. Some of the other reviews did concern me before booking but I found this place to be good value for money. Also, the lodge was so spacious! The staff are wonderful, Geoffrey was friendly and attentive at the restaurant, chef Nicholas was helpful with my lactose intolerance and there were many other wonderful staff too. For my birthday the staff bought me a cake while doing native Maasai singing and dancing, it was a very memorable experience. Thank you to all the staff. Only thing that would have made it better is a heater in the room but I’m sure if we’d asked one would have been provided. We’d definitely recommend."

"We stayed 2 nights, the property was beautiful right in the middle of Masai Mara. The rooms were good except that they were a little too dark. Little more lighting would have been good. We had the presidential suite so we had the whole suite to ourselves which was nice. Food was good, lot of variety (vegetarian and indian food options). One downside was power getting cut both nights we were there for a little time."

"Amazing safari camp! We loved every second of our stay. Special location with access to Maasai Mara but located on conservancy with elephants and giraffes surrounding area. Maasai guards escort you to camp always felt safe and cared for. The staff is amazing. Many are Maasai and are passionate about sharing their culture and knowledge with you. Took walking safari with Nixon - learned so much. Abraham was our safari guide - incredible person with amazing gift to find animals. Saw everything - including rhinos and leopards!!!
