« Enjoyable stay. Really liked this hotel and would go back again. We particularly enjoyed the self catering lodge - very convenient if you have small children. The grounds and pool were a hit! Staff friendly and helpful. However, property is a bit dated, needs a refresh. Breakfast is expensive for what it is and we were a bit disappointed. »

« Personally met in the car park by Fraser who offered the EV charger at a small cost for our car. He explained how the key card and door entry system worked and helped with the luggage. Also escorted us to our room and said he would be contactable if we had any queries. Recommended a taxi service to us by a local company. Offered us an upgrade and breakfast if we wanted. Room and en suite, bright, modern and clean. Within walking distance of the high street. Quiet location and good off street...

Staff were very friendly but felt inexperienced - having loud personal chit chats whilst we were trying to enjoy a pre dinner drink in the garden, laughing at 6am outside our open bedroom window, forgetting to bring morning coffee to our room… this coupled with our rooms expense (not the cheapest) and size (nothing special) it...

« Hotel is a fabulous property and has a felling from another era. Staff are helpful and friendly and service was great. Rooms were clean and everywhere felt well kept. We only had one issue and that was with the bed mattress as it was a wire sprung mattress and felt very uncomfortable to us as we prefer modern hybrid mattresses. This would not stop us from staying here again as everything else was great. »

« Fabulous lodge, superbly furnished and decorated. Thank you so much for all the extra touches! A lovely bottle of Prosecco awaited us and the coffee pod machine was much appreciated and used. « Nice, quirky hotel with a very warm welcome and helpful staff. The disappointment was the dinner! It was all rather over-priced with puddings at £6.95. While my seafodd pasta was lovely one in our party had an in-edible steak and a couple of people had badly-cooked aspsaragus - char-grilled and woody. We went elsewhere for dinner on the 2nd night. »

« The caravan at Shorefield was far superior to what had I imagined it was very big and very clean with everything you could possibly want. To be honest we did not use the facilities on site but the situation of the caravan was very quiet. The instructions via e-mail where very clear and precise and made getting in simple. I would highly recommend this caravan as it is a good base with lots to do nearby. »

« We were very lucky with the weather which helps but we love the area as there is always something to do. The cottage was spotless and has all amenities (apart from washing machine no space ) and there was a very nice cake awaiting us as well as tea ,coffee and milk . Parking was fine on quiet street and the garden is a delight. The owner kindly reminded us about the steep stairs but we managed as we did with downstairs bathroom. Overall highly recommended for a relaxing stay in New Forest. »
