« Appearance was very drab, in need of renovation. Very basic furniture, extremely noisy cistern when flushing the loo. Overhead light in the bathroom was full of dead insects etc, wires hanging down from the television. Black mould on the windows. Tea bags not sealed but loose in a plastic container and not fresh.
On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the linen was clean.
The cooked breakfast was very nice. »

« We were made very welcome by Wendy and Lawrence on our arrival. We sat outside in the sunny garden with a mug of tea and a caramel bar. We had the entire dining room to ourselves. There was a great selection of cereals available and the traditional breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. »

« Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery!
The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden. »
