From the moment I arrived, it just felt magical. I stayed in one of the jungle rooms and the walk to and from the main area is definitely a little trek after dark, so keep your phone charged for the torch, but honestly it added to the whole adventure. The island itself is fascinating with an interesting history. It is this gorgeous blend of tropical paradise and untouched nature, with crystal clear water, spectacular sunsets and lush green jungle that looks straight out of a movie. And then there is the wildlife. The nature here is the real headline act. I still cannot believe I got to cuddle a spider monkey every day. Her name was Niña and she took it upon herself to knock on my door every single morning like my own tiny furry alarm clock. She would wander in, hop on the bed and settle in for cuddles.
