C Rodrigues Mourouk

C Rodrigues Mourouk

10/10 Excellent
"From the 1st minute you walk in, you’re met with a warm welcome from the C-Mourouk staff. Everyone is helpful, friendly / engaging and willing to make your stay memorable. Relaxed atmosphere; this is the Rodrigues way. You want fast & furious? That’s not Rodrigues - there’s time and there’s « Rodrigues time ». So relax, and enjoy the slower quieter pace. Note that the premises were refurbished in the last few years & it is cosy, lovely and very clean. I definitely recommend this establishment & will come back again next time I’m in Rodrigues!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Le Chou?
The best area to stay in Le Chou is the coastal stretch around Trou aux Biches and Pointe aux Canonniers, offering a mix of beautiful beaches and convenient amenities.

Trou aux Biches is particularly well-suited for families. The beach here is renowned for its calm, shallow waters, making it ideal for children to swim and play. You'll find a good selection of family-friendly restaurants and shops lining the main coastal road, providing everything you need within easy reach. The area also offers various water sports activities suitable for all ages.

Couples looking for a more secluded and luxurious experience might prefer Pointe aux Canonniers. This area features a number of upscale resorts and private villas, often with direct beach access and stunning ocean views. While quieter than Trou aux Biches, it's still only a short drive to the dining and shopping options in Grand Baie, offering a superb balance of tranquillity and convenience.
When is the best time to go to Le Chou?
The best times to visit Le Chou are during the shoulder seasons of April to June and September to November, when the weather is pleasant, and the island is less crowded.

April to June offers warm temperatures and less humidity than the peak summer months. It's an excellent time for those looking to enjoy the beaches and water activities without the intense heat or the larger crowds of the high season. You'll find it easier to book popular excursions and restaurant reservations.

September to November brings similarly agreeable weather conditions. The ocean temperatures are ideal for swimming and snorkelling, and the island's natural beauty is at its peak after the winter rains.
