"We visited Hotel Savoy in Meribel in mid March for a three night ski trip. The hotel is located absolutely in the centre of Meribel , a short walk from thew Tourist office which has an escalator which allows you to access a is run into the main Chaudanne ski area. You need to look carefully how to ski back to the same escalator the first time you try it. There are numerous restaurants in the vicinity. "I was there in the final week of the season, with the Residence mostly full, the hotel section closed, and minimal staff (Pierre really was our knight in shining armour), but the experience was still excellent. "Appartement and location were very good overall. It’s ski in ski on a popular run so that’s great. The checkout procedure really lets the whole experience down and hurried they ask you to remove all bed linen and towels and place them in bags outside of the door on top of cleaning the kitchen and removing rubbish. If the cleaners are changing bed linen they can already remove it. They want you out prior to 10am after all this is done. "

"Excellent location for skiing in virtually all respects. Our room was in need of refurbishment & was very tired. Ice at the entrance to the apartment wasn’t cleared & was a potential hazard. "Nice Alpine hotel. Comfortable rooms . Excellent service at the reception. The staff at the reception go the length to help u out to ur every need. Although There is one particular male staff member who needs to get his act straight. He is in the restaurant. I dont want to mention what ihave been through, but i have to say, he is a black mark on the entire hotel. I preferred not to dine in hotel the second day only because of the experience i have faced. The food was good. Its the whole experienc and service i have been through is still shocking for this 5 star hotel. He certainly doesnt deserve to work here and certainly the customer doesnt need to be put through such racist experience after paying 5 star price at a 5 star hotel. Other than this unfortunate staff member at the restaurant, everything else was good. The spa was very relaxed and the staff was very polite and helpful there. "
