1. Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa

Lake Arrowhead

The rooms are run down with outlets coming out of the wall, tape around the lamp, tears in the wall paper, analog tv channels when they come through and so on. The beds are not comfortable. Staff couldn’t tell us how to retrieve a message from the phone and had a general not wanting to be bothered attitude. The views were gorgeous. The Spa at the Pines was well kept and Ken did a great job on my massage. Overall I would not recommend spending...

2. Arrowhead Lake Inn

« Pictures look great! Reality was horrible. Steep uneven flagstone steps to the lobby where there was no staff, just a note with a number to call and wait a couple hours. Finally in a room, but it hadn't been dusted in a long while. We would have demanded a refund and headed back down the mountain except it was by then dark, raining with fog that limited visibility to 1-2 car-lengths. Morning revealed the Continental breakfast: DIY (again no staff on site) with a couple sugary cereals, coffee...

« We enjoyed our stay overall, and the location was wonderful. Being surrounded by the forest made for a peaceful setting, and it was a great home base for exploring the area. There were a few things that could be improved. While I realize the listing probably noted there wasn't a dishwasher or microwave (I simply overlooked it), and I...
