« "Cozy" is the perfect description for this cute cottage in the woods. It feels isolated, but is located a short drive from Traverse City. Everything was clean and comfortable. There were even two bottles of wine, some local treats, and fresh eggs! »

« The french country cabin was just as charming and quaint as described in the listing. Terry & Beth were excellent hosts as the cabin was very clean and stocked with wine and goodies upon arrival, as well as eggs from their personal chicken coop. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Close to downtown Traverse City, but away from all the hustle and bustle at night. Just a quick drive to Glen Arbor and up the road from the amazing Farm Club. We will absolutely be visiting again soon....

« I booked a short stay, spur of the moment, and Peter was very kind and accommodating. He made the whole process extremely easy. The cottage is great! It sits right on Lower Herring Lake, so I had terrific views and complete lake access. The cabin is nicely appointed and has a spacious living room, and a very comfortable, cozy bedroom. The kitchen contains everything you need for your stay and the washer and dryer on the back indoor porch is an added bonus. I will be back! »

« Check in was easy. The place was very clean and well stocked. The property has a nice beach area. I don’t realize how small space was. It is on a very busy road and other tenants were out in parking lot talking and could be heard inside along with loud bass cars after 11pm. Also noted smell of recreational substance waffling in the bungalow. Not really ideal environment for children as they struggled to sleep with all the noise. We were in number 1 so closest to road. »

« This well kept Cabin is beautifully nestled off the beaten path in Empire. While secretly tucked away, still quick enough to drive to the surrounding areas for amazing activities to do and sites to see. We enjoyed Empire Beach, Tubing on Platte River, Empire Bluff Hike and Pyramid Point Hike. Breathtaking views of the beaches-never salty clear water so refreshing. The dunes can be hiked or beautifully viewed. Electric bike ride from Glen Arbor to Empire was an amazing last day activity. ...

« Absolutely perfect space and property! I wish we all could have stayed longer. Everything needed was laid out impeccably! A couple of small items: the amount of toilet paper was insufficient -- what was described was, 3 rolls would be provided in each bathroom. Instead each bathroom had only partial rolls. We had to go out to purchase more! Paper towel was also in short supply.Other then these small items, we all loved the Sleeping Bear Lair... It helped us all get rested and ready for race day! »
