"We were amazed at all the old trees that were growing on the property. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. All and all we had a very relaxing stay."

"Excellent aspect onto the lake with convenient access to Port Carling. The town had a good selection of high quality food offerings. The cottage character was well appointed with kitchen, living, dining and sleeping areas that had good views and access to the lake-facing porch. The porch provided excellent aspect on to the lake and the grounds especially during the rainy weather. The landscape design complemented the house with a beautiful path leading to the fire pit and the dock. The few flaws were a window control in the upstairs bedroom was not working and tended to increase the temperature in that room. The adjacent road was a bit noisy but not particularly noticeable at night. The kitchen was well appointed and reasonably organized. We have every intention of visiting again in the offing."

"It was a very nice cottage with great amenities. The kayaks and canoe were definitely a bonus and my kids had a blast. We brought life jackets but plenty of life jackets were provided if we didn’t. A question I had was related to what is provided as far as dish soap, laundry detergent paper towel and cleaners. All are provided and a full kitchen to cook whatever you wish. The bbq also had a spare tank if needed so there was no way we were running out.My communication with the hosts was always pleasant and they answered all questions I had in more than reasonable response times.The fire pit was nice, and the scenery was excellent with water front property.If I had to complain about one thing it would be the rain, but given the multiple options of this cottage we still had a great time!!!We would definitely visit this cottage again."

"Convenient spot for access to Bala. Very friendly and communicative host. We enjoyed our stay. The property is a bit difficult to find initially but once we were checked in, everything was fine. If you are not arriving by car and bringing your own linens, you will need to request linens, towels, etc. from host. They were very accommodating. Could not access the wifi and there is no TV, so plan accordingly if these things are important to you. We were there for a getaway so this was not an issue for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."
