Enter the gate off the private lane and be greeted by this beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath Hacienda style home. Expansive grassy and very private yard has many trees and lush flowering plants. Spanish Villa inspired, the yard offers a large outdoor living space perfect for lounging in the sunshine and enjoying sunset family meals on the patio. Follow the tiled staircase past the tranquil fountain up to the main living level of the home. Take in the breathtaking views from the upper terrace which wraps about the second level with several doors that open to welcome in the cooling ocean breezes.


A sunny fully equipped kitchen has all major appliances and everything you will need to prepare your meals. The dining area is off the kitchen and has seating for 4 people. Home is classic beach Windansea style with hardwood floors and beamed ceilings. Cozy living room has comfy seating, a flat screen TV, and fireplace for keeping warm on chilly evenings. There are two sets of french doors in living room that open onto the ocean view terrace where there is more dining space and seating to relax and unwind.


There are 2 soothing bedrooms in the main house with queen sized beds that share a Jack and Jill full bathroom with traditional Spanish tiled fixtures. The ocean view bedroom has french doors leading out to the terrace, and an office room with desk. The private Casitas (with separate entrance from the lower patio) has the third bedroom with full size bed and a full beautifully tiled bathroom. This is great for teens or couples who want more privacy or perfect to use as a ''nanny room''. The living area in the Casitas also has a queen sofa sleeper, TV and a full kitchenette. French doors open onto the lower patio and the yard area from the living room and bedroom.


Other amenities include off street parking for two vehicles, washer and dryer and WIFI internet access.

Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning.


This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with Vacasa Seasonals, Inc.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

One of La Jolla's Best!

This was a perfect location in our favorite destination. Familiarity of our surroundings in a hidden historic 1925 gem of a home that has been well taken care of...and on a large lot where property is scarce. Literal footsteps to the beach and the sound of waves at night. Beautiful sunsets from our bedroom balcony and gorgeous morning coffee there too! We'll be back :-)

Great place for our family trip

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. The location was one of the best things about this home. We were close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The yard is the next best thing. So much space for family to gather and for our fur babies. The home is so quaint and charming. We loved the serenity. There are also some ocean views from the upper level. I would stay here again. Private Getaway

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay at this rental property. It was so quiet, secluded, full of greenery, and was all around perfect for us! We even got the chance to see dolphins in the ocean from our balcony one evening! We saw lots of birds, including hummingbirds from the balcony on a daily basis. This is an older home with a lot of history. Due to this, the kitchen and bathroom are on the smaller size. Definitely recommend to not rent a large car (SUV), the roads are narrow and tight in this area. We met the owner of the property and he was very nice and helpful. He gave us tips on places to eat close by. We loved the proximity to downtown La Jolla - it's easy to walk around and not have to worry about parking. Even the beach is a street away. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and if we go back to San Diego, we will return to this property. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!!

Family time visit.

The property was as expected, lots of room outside for the grandkids to play. They were careful of the sand dune area, to keep it protected. Kitchen was tiny but worked out well for preparing food. Everyone relaxed and had a fun family filled time. The location was wonderful.

Location and view are amazing!

We had a wonderful two weeks at this property and would highly recommend it. As soon as you arrive you can't miss the gorgeous flowers and fruit trees that surround the house, then as soon as you go upstairs you are greeted by an amazing view of the ocean. A wonderful beach with both sand a tidepools is just a couple minute walk away. You can also walk easily to tons of restaurants and even to the La Jolla Cove. We only used our car when doing excursions to downtown San Diego and LegoLand, otherwise we walked everywhere. You don't even have to leave La Jolla because just being at the property is so relaxing with the view and beautiful grounds and so many awesome restaurants and beautiful beaches and coastline within a few minute walk. The house itself has so much character and history, with mostly original materials from the 1920s. Since the home is older, there is some wear and tear, but that is to be expected in a property that old and also a beach rental. It had everything we needed, including a nice library nook off one room that we used as an office, a fully stocked kitchen (though it is small), games, beach toys, a BBQ, laundry, and so much more! The grounds of the property are amazing for kids. It is huge, especially for La Jolla, and completely walled off so you can safely let your kids explore the yard complete with beautiful mature fruit trees and a huge lawn area. The downstairs unit is a great addition if you have grandparents joining a family trip or another small family that would like privacy, but it is not as nice as the upstairs house. It is a little musty and dark down there so don't expect it to be equal to the upstairs 2 bedroom house that is light and bright. Overall I would stay there again and I'm already missing the sound of the waves that lulled us the sleep every night.

Paradise Found

This is a lovely home one block off the beach. It has a gorgeous yard perfect for those who have a small dog or children, it is completely fenced. Our first night we ate in, the kitchen is well stocked for all your needs. The deck offers beautiful views and is relaxing to sit on to listen to the waves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Christmas getaway

We have spent lots of time in La Jolla over the years and felt lucky to have stayed at this property over Christmas. We loved the Spanish style and big wrapping decks. The yard was bigger than we expected, and the beach and proximity to it were fantastic for our family. The owners we kind and welcoming. Fully expecting to return.

Fabulous location in a historic quirky home

We loved the location of the home as we were one street away from the beach. Great neighborhood and easy walk into La Jolla. The garden and space was perfect for our puppy. So calm and peaceful. We had plenty of options for high end food delivery. We also used the bbq. Very friendly neighborhood. Loved sleeping listening to the ocean. We plan on coming back as we were in love with the house and the area.

Wonderful time near the beach

Our Casa by the sea

Our family thouroghly enjoyed our stay at this home! It was more than we expected. The space indoors and out are so beautiful and inviting. We ate all our meals outdoors. The sound of the ocean waves were therapeutic for all. The beds were very comfortable . Our 3 yr old twins enjoyed their ocean home with a hammock. The beach is just a few minute walk. Everything is close or nearby. We visited Children’s Pool Beach, Lego Land, San Diego Botanic Garden and various shops and restaurants in this area. Enjoying the ocean air all day and night was so refreshing. This is a very special home to enjoy and replenish your soul and mind. We plan to return next year. Familia Richardson
