![Summer road trip 🚗 to Lake Placid, a quaint village in the Adirondacks region (which hosted the 1980 Winter Olympics) ⛷. In town for just a weekend, we decided to do the shortest and easiest hike in Adirondack and that was Cascade Mountain. ⛰ At an elevation of around 4000 ft., it offers great views of Lake Placid for a casual hiker. 👟👟

Trip highlight: 🌌Stargazing near a surreal mist covered pond in Tupper Lake area, with wolves 🐺 howling nearby. (I wish I had captured a video but as luck would have it, since it was an impromptu activity, we didn't have the right equipment. Then again, maybe it's best left for another visit to this cozy town 😊)

« Passage rapide d’une nuit avant de remonter vers le Canada. Très bel endroit charmant et propre. Le propriétaire Dusan est très gentil et accueillant et s’assure que notre séjour soit agréable. A savoir : depuis la chambre on entend assez ce qu’il se passe dans la maison. Ça ne nous a pas dérangé car les autres voyageurs étaient discrets. »

« À notre arrivée , il aura fallu 40 minutes d’attente dans une certaine panique, pour avoir le bon code pour entrer dans la chambre . On nous a texté le mauvais code et puisqu’il n’y a personne sur place , le seul point de contact est un répondeur avec une boîte vocale pleine ou un cell pour envoyer un texto . Ce que nous avons fait . Mais il aura fallu 40 minutes pour se faire répondre . J’ai trouvé ce temps d’attente très angoissant. Ce n’est pas agréable de se retrouver avec cet enjeu sans...

« Le personnel est vraiment sympathique et accueillant! Nous avons adoré le repas de Noël servi le soir du 25 décembre dans le chaleureux décor du restaurant! Le déjeuner inclus de style "pour emporter" était parfait pour bien commencer la journée. Il nous a été très pratique! Excellent camp de base pour un séjour de randonnée dans les Adirondacks. Nous y retournerons certainement! Petite mention spéciale aux délicieux biscuits qui étaient dans notre petit sac d'accueil avec la clé de notre...
