« Our experience at this cottage was extremely disappointing. After driving for 4 hours, we had to clean for two hours before unpacking to make it a bit more acceptable. Where do I begin, the cottage was very dirty and so are the pots and pans left there to be used by the guests. The kettle on the stove was filled with dirty rusty water, the cast iron pans were greasy and dirty, the table, chairs and wall behind the stove were very sticky. « This lake cottage was peaceful, serene and just plain magical! The screened porch was a wonderful cocoon from which we enjoyed views of the lake and wildlife while sipping coffee and eating meals. The binoculars provided came in handy when viewing the eagles, loons and the blue heron which fed at the shoreline. The towels were plush, the bed was comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. « I will return. I could have stayed longer. It was a nice respite from a stressful life. Hosts were amazing. Extremely accommodating! My dog loved being able to swim (and chase sticks - finally learned to bring them back to the beach) every day. I think it helped that the hosts left a container of the training cookies. And they left a dog bowl, which I forgot. The wood stove was perfect for keeping us warm at night and when my dog was a still chilly after her swims. Again, I will return! »

« I absolutely loved my stay on the island. I stayed in the little floating house, which was magical. I loved feeling the water underneath the bed as I napped and drifted to sleep. The sunset from the little porch, overlooking the water, was exquisite. The hammock game was strong! There were two at my site alone! Everything was clean and easy.
