The best time to go to Ishasha is during the dry seasons, which run from June to August and December to February. These periods offer the most comfortable conditions for wildlife viewing. The weather is generally sunny with less rainfall, making the roads within the park more accessible and the vegetation less dense. This means animals are easier to spot as they congregate around water sources. For those planning a safari, these dry months are ideal for seeing Ishasha's famous tree-climbing lions. The reduced foliage allows for clearer views of them lounging in the fig trees. It's also a good time for general game drives, as many animals are more active. While the wet seasons (March to May and September to November) can offer lush landscapes and fewer tourists, the heavy rains can make some roads impassable and wildlife spotting more challenging.
