Overall, it was great for what I needed: a couple of days of job shadowing at the hospital in Tampa and a couple of beach days in Clearwater. Upon first arrival, there didn’t seem to be any issues with the property and the host was kind. As we stayed day by day, we noticed that this place does have a major ant problem. We unfortunately found ants in food that had not been opened, and we also saw clusters of ants around the kitchen sink, on the counters, along the bottom of the toilet, near the shower in the bathroom, etc. The ants seem to be seeping in through the cracks in the house; cracks in the windows in the kitchen, bottom of toilet, bathroom window areas, up the sinks, and through the main door area. Our stay became increasingly stressful because we had to make sure we borderline were not eating in this place to prevent ants from pouring in. There were even a couple of ants we saw in our bed with no presence of food being in the bed with us.Below is a photo of an unopened bag of caramel corn we had as a wedding gift. Upon getting all of our things together before we headed back home, we discovered there were ants swarming inside of it. I wish our cameras picked up better quality photos, but the little black specs you can see in the photo circled on the bag are all ants, as well as a couple of ants got on my husband’s hand when he was touching the bag as well.
