« Very cosy and homely. Clean and very spacious. Pool, hot tub and sauna were clean. Food was amazing and fresh. Close to 2 town centres. Staff were very helpful and went out of there way Pet friendly hotel. Staff went out there way for my dog buster. Offered him sausages and treats. Buster was made up. Defiantly will be back x Only 2 little mini things was couldn't work out the shower and no instructions about how to work the hot tub. Only that there was someone in the pool telling us how to...

« We stayed with a friend and her 4 year old - the folks running the farm were super friendly, and the 4 yo is still talking about how she misses Ben & Bob (the farm Collies). The cottage is on a working farm, and has been nicely restored, though it's clearly an old building, and I must have banged my head \*every\* time I went to load the fire in the kitchen! It's a place with real character - the farm has cows, goats, chickens, and fish, and would be great for anyone with kids. The wifi was...

« The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

« He been to the BGL twice in the last month and have enjoyed both stays. First hotel I’ve been to that has no reception or staff in general, with keys and information left on a table on the way in. No matter though, I’m there to sleep and shower and that’s about it! It’s situated right on the beach which gives you the most incredible view out of the window and it’s close to local pubs and a few other conveniences. More importantly, it’s in an amazing place to head in to Wasdale - other than...
