« First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). « Elevated but right on the seafront with a few steps down to the beach. Comfortable property which we loved. There is a garage for the car, but ours was a little big so had to park on the street. Plenty of places to visit nearby. We had a takeaway on night and they deliver to the back door. Loved our stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. »

« This house is outstanding. Elaine caters for everyone especially children and as we know when the kids are happy the adults can relax. We have stayed for the third time last weekend , it is such a central area with a beach minutes away also. We will be back certainly. »

« A lovely spot for a few days away to relax and unwind. The property was clean and well-maintained and was a lovely base to explore beautiful Northumberland. The only downside was the noise from the adjacent busy road but it it did quieten down late evening. Would stay again »

« The property is very nice, nicely furnished and very clean. We did feel that it lacked in terms of things provided, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, just one USED dishcloth. No welcome pack with instructions, and parking was very confusing. We unpacked the car a the rear of the house, which upset the neighbour. We parked in the nearby public car park for the duration of our stay. We were also disappointed to find out that there was no live TV channels. »

« This property is wonderful for a quiet getaway, it’s beautifully decorated with lots of interesting things to discover and the kitchen is so well equipped, we could have easily hosted a 12 person dinner party! You definitely need a vehicle and there is no shop or pub in the village. We really liked the lack of a TV it was a plus. « We stayed here for a short break with the family. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack from the owners and was really impressed with the lodge. Its location was perfect for places to visit, we went to Bamburgh castle, Berwick, Alnwick gardens and Holy Island in the time we stayed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and warm on arrival, with the log burner as a welcome extra. We would definitely recommend for a family getaway and would stay again in the future. »
