"This was my first stay at Microtel. The price was near the Holiday Inn Express charge so I expected a comparable stay. (Holiday Inn Express was booked up.) Gosh was I mistaken! The drain in the sink was stopped up. The shampoo and conditioner were in a tiny plastic tube. 2 tiny blocks of soap were provided. The outside noise permeated the walls and windows. The "breakfast" consisted of dry cereal, heat and serve biscuits, waffles, and juice. The rooms are very tiny and cramped, and, if you sneeze in the bathroom, you'll bang your head on the wall!"

"Mostly excellent. Was a bit disappointed in the fitness room, however. Several of the exercise machines were improperly configured or calibrated. Excellent fitness facilities are among my reasons for choosing Hampton Inn hotels. This is why I downgraded my evaluation from a 5 to a 4."

"Room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. My only complaint is the bed in the handicap accessible room needs much improvement. It was not even chair height from the floor; with mobility issues getting up was not easy. Also the mattress was too soft. My previous stay approximately one year ago was a much better bed than now. Perhaps they just need to be replaced. "
