Top Great Lakes Hotel Reviews

Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview
10/10 Excellent
"I had an amazing stay at the hotel. The rooms were spotless, and when we arrived, the staff offered us an upgrade to a suite. The view was incredible—thanks to their recommendation, we got to see both sides of the Niagara Falls, both American and Canadian. The fireworks were spectacular from there. Everything in the hotel was well-organized, and we really enjoyed every moment of our stay."

Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Quick friendly check in, room was clean and comfortable. The AC didn’t go below 75 degrees so it was warmer through the night, I would have liked it much cooler for sleeping"

The Chicago Hotel Collection Ambassador Gold Coast
6/10 Okay
"The restaurant was not open other than mediocre breakfast buffet. They only clean the rooms every 3rd day. The lobby bar was slow to open in the afternoon."

Chelsea Hotel, Toronto

"My favorite place to stay when I go to Toronto."

Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto
6/10 Okay
"I was disappointed with the customer service during my stay. The hotel staff were not welcoming and rarely smiled when interacting with guests. In addition, it was very difficult to reach the front desk, as phone calls often went unanswered when assistance was needed. Good customer service is an important part of the guest experience, and unfortunately, I felt that the level of service provided did not meet expectations. I hope management will address these issues and improve staff responsiveness and guest relations."

Congress Plaza Hotel

"First, this is a historic hotel, and visitors should be aware that the rooms reflect the historic vibe. If you want modern, you need to stay down the street at the Hilton. The rooms were very cute and clean, and the tiling in the bathroom was beautiful. The hotel has a prime location with easy walking access to the Grant Park and Museum Campus areas. General maintenance could have been improved: 1) the room had obviously lost power at some point in the past, causing the mini fridge to thaw, leak, and damage the shelf on which it sat, and 2) the faucet in the bathtub dripped consistently and the shower drain was minorly clogged, preventing it from draining completely while the shower water was running. These were, however, very minor issues. My biggest issue was the noise. It's a historic building, but that doesn't mean it needs historic windows. The windows might as well have not existed for as much street noise as they managed to block out. I was grateful I traveled with earplugs, because if I hadn't, I would not have been able to sleep. Between sirens, engines reving, and people randomly screaming, if you're someone that needs quiet to sleep, this is not the place for you. It would also be nice to have modernized room AC units. Be aware that the units here cannot be adjusted in the room. All in all, a decent stay... But I doubt I'll be back unless they make a big announcement about new windows."
