Grand Bay Vacation Packages

When I checked in, I was pleased because the clerks were very sweet and friendly. When I got to my room, I was not as impressed. I thought it smelled like smoke, not heavy, but stale. The room was hot and humid with the a/c set to 75. I immediately turned the a/c down to 61 and the room started to cool off. I was really tired and didn't want to change rooms and risk a worse one, so I stayed. The longer I was there, the more I realized the housekeeping was lacking. There was a thick layer of dust on the lamps. Oh, and 2 light bulbs were out. That should have been caught. The carpet wasn't clean. I found a staple in the carpet when it poked me. And the door hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. I thought maybe it was stained, but I took a wet cloth and scrubbed a clean spot. The shower was clean and the bed was clean. I do admit they would have let me change rooms, but I was just too tired, so I do accept some responsibility. I should never had needed to worry about that. The rooms really need a good cleaning and an update. The bed hurt my back, but it is because I do not like firm mattresses. For breakfast, the eggs were great, the sausage was dry and the first morning there were brown bananas that were cracked open. The following days were just apples. Overall, it wasn't the worst, but it certainly could have been better!

I booked the hotel in the wrong city by mistake. I was using the app and the city I wanted had no vacancies, so the app automatically moved to another city, more than two hours away. I did not notice the location change and booked the room. When I arrived to check in and the error was found. The hotel in the next city would not refund my money. I end-up having to driving more than an hour from the city I needed to be and book another hotel and while never getting a refund for the hotel I never arrived at . Really bad experience.
