"It's really at top of the world. The cottage is at the top of Nessalu mountain top. Excellent if you want to spend time in nature. It's difficult to find so contact the owner before you go there. Owner is very friendly and very helpful. She knows only German, but she was really nice to use Google translate to talk. I want to really thank her for that. I think it's good for a group 10-15 people. But it will be amazing for a couple too."

"We had a wonderful time during our stay in Isenthal. Renate was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure everything went well for us. The area is so beautiful that you don't have to go far. There are hikes everywhere and always a picturesque view. "Absolutely stunning views from room and restaurant. I stayed in the Naturhus, and my room was a little dated, but I was there for the lovely balcony overlooking the lake. If you want a more updated room, choose one in the main building. "

"Nice old-style bed and restaurant hotel with a lovely staff that was very detail oriented during check-in. Felt very at home in the pub area and during meals. Bedding was quite comfortable and peaceful. You will hear guests walking about the stairs and over your room with the older wooden build, but it was part of the charm in a way. Dinner was very good and the morning breakfast spread is typical European flair and filled us up for the day. Views of the mountainside were wonderful, TV selections vary in many different languages if you get stuck inside for a bit. Small grocery store across the street and the Post Bus heading to Stans or Seelisberg picks up right in front of the hotel. Very convenient for hikers or if you want to take one of the few cable cars up the mountains."

"Chosen as a reasonably priced hotel for a one night stop between france and Italy. Family run and open since the 1920s. An older style property but style very much in keeping with the local area. Clean and tidy throughout and bar/restaurant appears popular with locals. Staff were friendly and accomodating. The hotel restaurant is closed on a Wednesday evening however there are a number of local restaurants nearby and staff were happy to provide directions and recommendations. Breakfast was traditional and plenty of options for even my fussy teenager. Would happily stay here again."
