"OK. I really liked the place for it's Quirky vibe. Endearing. But was never personally greeted by anyone. Remote check in only. I arrived a little after 6 pm so....? And contrary to the prior reviews, no one had a beer or snack available. Nice to have, but not needed. Bar never opened. The room was clean and the bed comfy.... Once I got in. The lock and key had to work it out between themselves (old school key on hotel fob) which took a minute. No guidance on location to find food but being intrepid I figured it out... Which was lucky since even tho I was offered kitchen access, the stove and other gas appliances were not connected. A hot plate/press would never heat up - found the cord but never found the plug. Gave up and cooked, thankfully, in my van. There was one guy in the bar area who was visiting from Moab - we had a great discussion and discovered we were fellow Project Managers & techies. I would really like to rate the place higher but.... You have to earn it by being customer focused. My experience - not so. Glad they had a sound machine in the room to block out adjacent room noise (hey, it's an old place..) because the cooler downstairs sounded like my dad when he would fall asleep in his easy chair and snore. Again, something endearing in an odd way but.... My room was on the 2nd floor just above the cooler. Slept reasonably well and shower was hot, thankfully. Silverton is a great town with friendly folks. Had a wonderful B-fast at Dera Deli."

"This is for the people who rely heavily on reviews: BEAR WITH ME. Let me preface by saying I’m not a nit picky kid. I’ll sleep wherever as long as I have a bed and running water. I just have observations. First the good stuff: It has all of your basic hotel needs - a fridge, desk, water cups, coffee, extra towels, etc. It’s connected directly to the gas station which is nice and it’s out of town and away from noise but still completely walkable by a few minutes. Shower’s got nice little seats. Meh stuff: Pics provided - there was hair in the showers. Like, stubble? The towels were kinda yellow (clean smelling but still a tad funky looking). There were stains on the sheets and gunk on the comforter. Potentially mouse poo? Or crushed bugs. Toilet stopper in 4 does get stuck so after flushing be sure to pop it back down in the tank. I don’t necessarily care about this stuff but for people with higher standards, I’m pointing it out. I could’ve asked for a cleaning or different room but I couldn’t be arsed. I just needed a bed. It was a tad pricey for what you get - 200 dollars but to be fair, I came right after Iron Horse and on Memorial Day weekend so that’s not terrible considering. Neighbors upstairs were loud as hell. Like, running back and forth and blasting their TV till 1am. Not the hotel’s fault but if you were staying above room 4, damn guys. Overall, decent. Did the job."

"Great staff, very eelcoming and friendly. Really liked the hotel's situation, super clean and modern style room. Wet room bathroom was spotless. If l could change anything it would be to place a coffee and tea station on the landing for guests to use 24 hours (as the room doesn't have one) and find space for a chair in the room. Then it would be just right, as Goldilocks would say."
